It is an extremely rare occurrence, but if we do not see ANY manta rays on our Night Manta Experience, you are welcome to come back out with us again during the same vacation, based on availability, totally free of charge. Make sure you call us right away so that we may reschedule you! Non-refundable and non-transferable.

Stay-cation Experience - Local family wanting to enjoy a manta night swim tour with our mo’opunas (grandkids). Seaquest Hawaii was highly recommended. We joyed it!!! They want to go again. Maybe this summer.
Great staff and crew. Very knowledgeable and good safety protocols. Hot cocoa and snacks at the end of tour. We also went on Seaquest Hawaii for snorkeling the year before with the mo’opunas and it was great. Something different for us. Great tour company!

Sea Quest for top safety, great crew - Sea Quest is a great option, so professional and organized, and a very short ride to the site (5-10 minutes) from the building at the marina. Quality selection of dry wetsuits to wear even by 9pm. Safety of both swimmers and the manta rays was priority. The staff was so active in the water to keep people calm and make sure no one kicked, interfered with, or accidentally injured the mantas. The waves were very big so I started to get nauseous by the end of 40 minute swim, staff was helpful with tips and suggestions, and nobody got sick at all. They have options to return to boat if needed, and hot cocoa at the end which helped! Fantastic overall, Sea Quest was my top pick based on safety.

Amazing! Do it! - I took the Manta tour with my two sons, ages 10 & 11. They are both confident swimmers and had a wonderful time. The guides shared information about the mantas and also ensured we would be safe. We were lucky and saw 10 rays, all at once even, rolling and eating right under us! It was magical! They are huge and so beautiful! We were wearing the provided wetsuits, however 10 year old became cold so a guide took us back to the boat while my older son stayed through the 30 minutes. We appreciated the cocoa and cookies at the end! We went at 7 pm, and this seemed to be a great time. I would recommend this to anyone, I've taken the same tour with SeaQuest before, and they are always wonderful, however the Manta rays last night blew my mind! It was amazing. Thank you to Capt Nick and the crew on April 4, 2024!

Amazing experience with giant manta rays! - This is the best tour to book in Hawaii, hands down. A short 5-minute boat ride to a protected bay, a short instructional briefing, and you're in the water with 16-foot manta rays looping and gliding inches from your face. We enjoyed almost an hour interacting with those gentle giants! All necessary gear (including wetsuits) is provided. We especially appreciated the snacks and hot chocolate at the end. Fantastic experience!

Amazing! - 100% recommendation ANYONE to go. There were 7 rays that kept flipping up and some close enough to bump into us. The guides were explaining the different rays and facts as you watched. They even know the names of the rays based upon the spots on the belly!

Very cool experience! - Very cool experience! Parking can be a challenge as it is on-street and there are quiet a few guests all arriving at the same time, so do plan some extra time for finding a spot and walking to the office/boat launch. The boat ride out to the snorkel site is very short--only about 5 minutes. Though short, the return trip is rather chilly, especially if it is also raining (and you will not have access to your towel until you get back). For me, these minor inconveniences did not detract from the experience of viewing the mantas up-close. We were in the water for about 25-30 minutes, and mantas were visible beneath us for most of that time. Our guides estimated that we had 8-9 rays visiting us (you can tell them apart by their unique pattern of spots), and at we did see at least 6 at the same time (very interesting to see them interact with one another). I would definitely recommend this experience for people who are already comfortable snorkeling, as you need to understand how to float face-down with your legs and feet remaining on the surface, and will need to be comfortable jumping out of the boat and swimming a short distance to the light boards.

Best Manta Ray Snorkel Tour on the Big Island - This is one of the best tours on the BIG Island. It is an unforgettable experience! The staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly! We saw about 10 huge manta rays that came up close. I highly recommend booking your manta tour with Sea Quest!

Amazing Experience! - I had an amazing experience on the Nighttime Manta Snorkel. The SeaQuest staff were so helpful, informative and friendly. This is a bucket list experience. The Manta's as they described are "Gentle Giants." Watching them do flips in the ocean was so amazing. I would highly recommend this tour company for your Nighttime Manta Snorkel experience.

Not to be missed! Crew was awesome - My wife, our two children 11 and 13 and I were very apprehensive about this but it turned out to be the best thing we did in HI! Crew was amazing - Brenden, MJ, Kapono, Sydney, Ashley, Leah. Was nearest to MJ who spoke about manta facts the whole trip. We saw so many that night - this was one of the best things we’ve ever done and would go back to the Big Island just for this. Don’t miss this - there is nothing to be scared of and you will be in awe!
