Thumbs up - Wonderful day on the boat! Crew were amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable, did their best to get us as close to the whales as possible, even tried to go to an area with sharks but didn't see any this time. Breeching whales and calves were so cool, thanks for a great ride!

Best Whale Watch tour in Kona - We live in Kona part time and can spot whales in season from land so we didn’t consider taking the tour until we met Travis by the Kona Style cat at the pier. He is a native and has a love for the island and the sea that is so infectious we decided to try the tour. We were wowed! It was all Travis promised and more. We saw several humpbacks with their calves and spinner dolphins too! The crew was the best with information, spotting whales, positioning the cat, everything. It was a wonderful trip we would highly and enthusiastically recommend.

Whale watching - This was an awesome trip. Captain Jesse, Demi the deck boss and Chadin kept us entertained and provided us prime whale watching. Momma and baby whale were very accommodating. Several spouts and fin flapping followed by a few breeches. The other tour boats seemed overcrowded while our smaller boat gave us plenty of room to take pictures and video. Thanks again guys!

PICK THIS ONE! Absolutely the Best Boat Trips on Hawai’i - We booked both a whale watch and a night manta ray swim with Kona Style and are PROFOUNDLY glad we did. If you are considering booking EITHER a whale watch or a manta ray night swim, this is the company you should choose. There are so many tour companies to choose from, but this one is the best. The boat is a smaller sailboat/catamaran so you’re not sharing the whale watch with hundreds of people. The boat ride itself—riding in the bow netting!—is an adventure worth the price of your ticket. Sailing along the coast, seeing whales and rainbows and pictures-perfect sunsets was something we won’t ever forget. The crew and staff were all extremely personable, helpful, and friendly. I am a question-asker, and they were very patient with me, no matter how many times I called (especially Travis). Mike, Mark, Jesse, Chayden, and Demi were amazing. They were knowledgeable and passionate about the boat, the coast, the ecosystem, and the islands, and were all clearly dedicated to their jobs belong everyone have a wonderful experience. Demi, in particular, was extremely patient with our two small boys.

Wonderful day on the water - We booked this on our last day of vacation- first day of whale watching season- so weren’t too surprised not to see any whales. The crew was great, very attentive especially to the kids- ages4&8- and we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon on the water. They let both boys drive the boat, which they enjoyed. If we return , we can go for free as we didn’t see whales:).
