Parang La, standing at 5600 meters, serves as a link between Spiti and Ladakh, offering a high-altitude and challenging trekking experience. The journey begins in Manali, featuring a visit to Chandertaal, and a drive through Kibber, Ki, Kaza, Langza, Hikkim, Komic, and Chicham over Kunzum La. The trek commences from Chicham and concludes at the village of Karzok near Tso Moriri in Ladakh. This trail is abundant with exotic wildlife, including the Himalayan snow leopard, Blue Sheep, and Himalayan Thar. It traverses the Rupshu plains of the Changthang Plateau, which is the easternmost part of the Tibetan Plateau. Karzok, situated at 4595 meters, is among the highest villages globally and is accessible by road from Leh.
