- Cobo Winery - Cobo winery is located in Berat, a 2400 year old city, south of Albania. Its family has a long tradition of wine producing dating back in the beginning of 1990. With the establishment of the communist regime in 1950 this tradition along with many other in Albania ceased to exist. The private enterprises were not allowed by that time in Albania.\n\nThe old tradition was kept alive in the memories and stories of the elderly members of the Cobo family. After the fall of the comunist regime in the 90s, the family revived the old tradition and was finally able to resume its activity.\n\nIn the beginning, the production was modest. It consisted in 8000 bottles. Their initial success in the Albanian market made the company grow gradually reaching a current production of 100.000 bottles.
