Can Cau Market - Trekking to Bac Ha (B/L/D)

Bac Ha - Guests will be picked up from Lao Cai train station or Sapa town early in the morning if they are already in Sapa town. The journey will take them to Can Cau Market, which operates only on Saturdays, via Bac Ha Town. Although smaller than some other markets in the region, it is unique due to its preserved local and authentic charm. Breakfast will be enjoyed at the market.

Bac Ha - Few tourists visit this area, which likely contributes to its authentic atmosphere, making it an excellent place to experience the local cultures of the region. After exploring and browsing the many intriguing stalls, guests will embark on a trek from Ta Giang Pho to Lay Thuy Ngai, offering breathtaking views along the way, surrounded by wild and beautiful natural landscapes and terraced rice fields. Along the route, encounters with people from the Red Dao or Black H’mong ethnic groups are likely. The trek spans approximately 12 to 15 kilometers, and at the end, a driver will pick up the guests and take them to Na Hoi Village for an overnight stay in a homestay.

Bac Ha Market - Chay River (B/L/D)

Can Cau Market - After breakfast at the homestay, the day begins with a walk to Bac Ha Market. Here, guests will spend time among the locals, exploring the many enticing stalls. This market is one of the most colorful in Northern Vietnam, resembling more of a festival or celebration than a simple market.

Bac Ha - The entire area is bustling with activity, enhanced by the presence of various animals like pigs, cats, buffaloes, and horses, all available for sale.

After the market visit, guests will have the chance to relax their tired legs and feet on a boat tour along the Chay River. As they float down its calm waters, they can sit back and enjoy the stunning views. Upon disembarking, a driver will be waiting to take them to town for lunch. The tour then proceeds to the H’mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong), built by the French and Chinese in 1920, showcasing a unique blend of European and Oriental architecture, resulting in a grand structure. Finally, the tour guide will escort guests to Lao Cai station for their next departure.
