The best of Barcelona with David! - This was part of a wonderful 2 day personal tour where David made sure that we saw, tasted and experienced the best that Barcelona has to offer! He shared so much history and made sure to take us off the beaten path to really experience the local customs and food! He was flexible and really catered to our needs. We travel around the globe and have had many personal tours but David is certainly one of the best.

Tight schedule? Guiding Barcelona is your solution. - I have traveled to Barcelona for business and pleasure about a half dozen times, but this was my first (Mar 2022) since the pandemic. I yearned to revisit many of my favorite places, however, business constraints left me little time – about 4 hours. Working with David Chacón of Guiding Barcelona, we designed a private tour, which included the Gothic Quarter, Picasso Museum, Olympic Ring on Montjuïc Hill, and Sagrada Familia. During the planning stages, David was always accessible and accommodating. Our guide was Francesc Garcia, who began by explaining the early history of Barcelona. This was followed by a walk through the Gothic Quarter ending at the incomparable Picasso Museum. Few artists have evolved as much in approach, subject matter, and style as Picasso, and Francesc expertly navigated us to the finest examples of Picassso's Blue, Rose, and African periods, Cubism, and Neoclassicism. Atop Montjuïc Hill, we made several brief stops to enjoy the panoramic views of Barcelona. Outside the Sagrada Familia, Francesc began by explaining the origins of the temple with its first architect, Don Francisco de Paula del Villar y Lozano, who soon abandoned the project. A year later, Antonio Gaudi assumed the role and the rest is history. Francesc recommended the best spots for photographs. Within the Sagrada Familia, he focused on the many important architectural symbols of faith. Fast track entrances and Francesc's familiarity with staff allowed us to enter the Picasso Museum and SF without undue delay, despite long lines. Moreover, his detailed knowledge and anecdotes made for a truly exceptional afternoon. Transportation was in a Mercedes S class. In summary, I highly recommend both David Chacón of Guiding Barcelona and Francesc Garcia for those seeking an unforgettable bespoke tour experience

FANTASTIC PRIVATE TOUR OF BARCELONA - This was the second time we had David Chacon give us a tour. In the fall of 2018 he guided us through Segrada Familia as well as Park Gruell. He was so informative, personable, and concerned about those of us in the small tour. I recommended him to our neighbors here in Arizona, and they were equally impressed when he gave them a tour in June of 2019. When we were going to be in Barcelona for a day on a cruise in Nov. 2019, we made arrangements for a private tour. Even though we spent five days in Barcelona in 2018, we learned so much from David during the 6 hours we spent with him this year in November. We would highly recommend him! He is one of the top tour guides so you will need to book in advance to ensure he is available.

The Best Tour Ever - We totally enjoyed our tour of Barcelona. Our tour guide David was so educated and knew every place in Barcelona like he was raised there, which he was not. We had a half day tour with the six of my family and friends and everyone was so happy about the places he chose to take us. I was so impressed that when he took us to Sagrada Familia he got a wheelchair for my husband because he knew he had hurt his back. My husband got to enjoy the whole spectacular visit. I cannot say enough about our tour and our wonderful tour guide David. We wish all of the tours we got to take would have been that good. He spoiled us! there was not any question about the city he could not answer. We also loved our driver Nacho, he was also very kind. We cannot say enough about our tour. We have told many people about David and hope they get to see Barcelona like we did.
