AMAZING picturesque day trip in paradise. Just book it! (Ignore the bad reviews people are miserable) - This island offers an AMAZING picturesque daytrip getaway, and was the highlight of our entire cruise! I was a little scared about the bad reviews, we almost canceled, but glad we did not... People are so miserable and bored with their lives to not enjoy this place. This island offers, beautiful, white sand, crystal clear, turquoise water, fantastic snorkeling, a great authentic lunch, free kayaking and standup paddle boards, a great little bar, plenty of seating, and just a fun vibe overall. (No, it is not the Ritz Carlton. Maybe some of the chairs are a bit weathered. If you want to gorge yourself with an endless buffet cruise lunch, that’s not this place. They do serve a nice hot meal and you can purchase yummy drinks if you want.) We actually enjoyed this place a little bit more than Coco Kay, the private royal Caribbean island. It has a rustic fun vibe and the views are just breathtaking. That crystal clearwater will stay in my mind forever.

We had a nice day at... - We had a nice day at Pearl Island. The snorkeling was basically swimming in a small area with the fish “penned in”. Wasn’t the best, but the water was pretty and the people on the island are nice. One thing I liked in there were plenty of chairs to choose from. Many had umbrellas also. Food was good at the buffet. Don’t expect substitutions, extra or seconds.

Would do it again! - Great day! Boat was easy to find and a nice ride to the island past gorgeous homes. The Island was clean and there were plenty of chairs, both in the sun and the shade. Snorkeling was beautiful ❤️. Lunch was delicious, and my picky kids even ate it. Wonderful way to spend a half day!

Conch man - The snorkle part could have been a little longer but the staff were friendly and helpful. What we enjoyed the most was the Conch Man at the waters edge palapa, he was awesome. The salad (cerviche) was made right in front of us. He explained the process and crafted an amizing dish. My grandaughter however is not a fan of seafood so he gave her some fresh fruit. What a guy.

Sunny day on pearl Island - We booked this tour through viator when our cruise ship had a change in itinerary. The price was expensive but still way cheaper than anything the cruiseline was offering. Finding the pick up location from their directions was a challenge. We took a ferry from the cruise terminal to the paradise island ferry terminal....pay attention here ...which has two sides. The location your looking for is behind Margaritaville. They would do themselves a big favor by adding something like that in the email they sent. Snorkeling was cancelled due to high winds. It was pretty choppy so we understood. We grabbed some chairs and had a cocktail while enjoying the beach in a cove protected from the wind. Lunch was indeed like others said, a traditional Bahama meal. BBQ chicken, fried fish, rice and frozen veggies. It was just about what I expected. The staff were very friendly. It was all legit and we were delivered back to our cruise terminal with plenty of time to spare. However, perhaps some of the dealings seemed sketchy, and several times during the ordeal we were worried we were being swindled. Quiet whisperings of instructions, lots of promises "I got you man, I'll take care of you". It was a great day. Booking through viator made me trust the tour.

The boat ride was good,... - The boat ride was good, the island is beautiful. However, the facilities are a bit run down...braiding, chairs, etc. The snorkeling was really cool, but the lunch provided was average (overcooked chicken and fried fish) and no beverage provided except room temp water. There are other drinks available for a high price. The whole thing was a bit pricey for what you get.

Half good, half bad - The experience of going to the island was great. The lunch was also very tasty. However, for a ‘snorkeling’ experience it was lacking. We were out in the water for only 25 minutes before being called back in. The worst part of the day was the return. We were asked to be back at 15:05, which we were. We then stood in the hot sun for close to an hour for seemingly no good reason. Our boat and operators were there, but did not load us. Then they left us, went to a nearby island and picked up another group of people first, with us all ready to go?!? They came back for us and we had to search through the other group for seats. Did not make sense.

Pearl Island Bahamas Snorkeling Experience and Lunch By Pearl Island Bahamas - We got to Pearl Island and the excursion was cancelled due to wind and rough water. We sat there for 4 HOURS to wait for the boat to come back and pick us up. The boat was old, dirty, and overcrowded. The lunch they served us was bad and drinks with cheap booze were $14 each. One of the women's restrooms ran out of water on the island. A horrible experience and a waste of half a day that we could have been doing something else.
