Simlocal Athens Airport - Koustantina really helped me out on April 8th. I was coming in from EDI for a 3 week holiday. The Simlocal stall is conveniently located in Athens airport. Koustantina made it quick and easy for me. Very much appreciated!

Meteora deserves a long journey and Metheora tours makes it shorter and better - Meteora deserves the long journey from Athens. And Metheora Tours made it nicer, thanks specially to Stacey, our local guide, and Dimitros (not completely sure about his name), our driver. Both of them did an execellent job and made our tour really pleasant. The bus and driver from Athens to Meteora were OK and perhaps the only thing to be improved is the organization in Athens before the assignment of the bus as it was a bit chaotic

If you have 5 days in athens i would suggest you dedicate one of them to this day trip to Mateora - The bus left athens on time. The bus stops were on appropriate places. Lunch was ok in decent price. Minibus tourist guide to the mateora rocks Clement was excellent

Excellent will do again - Had a great trip. The bus was comfortable and they provided great direction so we did not miss a thing. The tour guy was from Canada and he was great and very helpful. The tour guide as well as the bus driver helped take pictures so even if you are alone or your party is bad at taking pictures you can get a few of yourself.

Truly amazing experience. - A visit to the monasteries is a must when visiting Greece. And this tour was exceptional. The bus ride is 4 1/2 hours each way with a pit stop at the 1/2 way point. Upon arrival to the base of the monasteries, you get a delicious lunch (if purchased with the tour) of Greek salad and your choice of protein with potatoes/pasta and veggies. Our tour guide Clement was phenomenal. The history and knowledge that he had of all the monasteries was mind boggling. He was able to answer all questions asked and even assisted with some exceptional photos for tour members. To hear the history of these monasteries and how they were built is truly amazing. We visited 3 monasteries and the price to enter is 3 euros each, which is not included in the tour. Wearing comfortable shoes is a must as there are quite a lot of steps to see the monasteries. The views are just so breathtaking. Highly recommend this tour.

amazing experience at Meteora - I was on the English speaking trip with Clement from Canada as our guide. Very knowledgeable with many collateral prepared shared in the the bus to allow us have a better appreciation of the beauty of Meteora. Time management was so good that he was even to fit in extra spots not on the original itinerary. Bus ride is a bit long so be prepared for that.

Could be better - A good tour, full day just to need better meals was to simple to be a Greece cruisine as advertising for people choose with lunch and the guide need to be with the turists and explain about the inside the monasteries to get the full picture , very sure can be improved, this Web is a good a easy to search.

The most amazing place on earth - Where to begin… this was by far the highlight of our time in Athenes. Words cannot describe the beauty and majesty of the monasteries. Its like being in a movie. Our guide Nico was just beyond. Every tour we did after we kept saying how we wish Nico was doing it. He faces us when talking, knows everything lol and he just gave enough information not to overload us like they do on so many other tours. Not allot of people know about this place but when we show pictures, they were all jealous and wished they would have known about it. Things to keep in mind: respect the dress code. Its just being respectful. Pack LOTS of water. You so stop a couple of times on the drive but its nit enough. Bring cash. Bring snacks. And if you’re like me and love animals, bring cat treats! I recommend this tour 10000%

I enjoyed my trip to Metora, lunch wasn’t worth it. - Metora was spectacular, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The stop for refreshments left a lot to be desired. The food offering was subpar.

Meteora is incredible, the tour not so much. - First of all, to be clear, Meteora is incredible and a must-see for anyone exploring Greece. The monasteries were beautiful and it was great to be able to visit multiple and see the views and history associated with each. The tour package, on the other hand, was quite average. Our tour group ended up with Meteora Thrones. The bus ride was not very comfortable. I'd compare it best to a 4 hour, full-occupancy airplane ride in economy class with no reserved seating. There was little to no airflow from the fans, which made most of the ride in both directions uncomfortably hot. (I can't imagine how it is in the heat of summer) The quality of the "included meal" with the tour was comparable to a school lunch, and was served quite similarly. There was very little time to eat before being rushed onto a different, smaller bus with tour guides in order to go and see Meteora itself. The tour guide and 2nd bus were fine enough, though the guide did seem stressed the whole time. My husband and I honestly hated everything about the trip EXCEPT for when we were outside the buses alone and walking through Meteora/the monasteries themselves. The main reason I give 4 stars instead of a 1 or 2 is that a) seeing Meteora in a single day from Athens would be nearly impossible without this tour package, and b) this was our first-ever group tour experience; perhaps they are all this disappointing. TL;DR: Meteora is great. This tour takes you to Meteora. Don't have any high expectations beyond that.
