• Apia - 8:00am Begin the day with a pick-up from central Apia accommodations, traveling southwest through the fertile lands of Aleisa towards Upolu’s southwest coast, heading to Vai Villas.
• Vai Villas - 8:50am VAI VILLAS LODGE is a gem of eco-tourism nestled in Lotofaga Village. Here, get acquainted with the kayaks, paddleboards, paddles, and lifejackets, and prepare the provisions for the journey ahead. Vai Villas is home to a variety of native birds. From the villa’s verandah, observe numerous fish, ducks, eels, and dragon horses swimming in the spring-fed waters.

Experience the fresh water spring, tidal estuary, mangroves, and a Jurassic-like environment.

• Safata Bay - 10:45am Enjoy a SWIM in SAFATA BAY, setting the kayaks aside to dive into the tranquil waters of this stunning bay. The guide will share the legend of the bay’s formation.
  11:00am PADDLE ACROSS SAFATA LAGOON, covering 400 meters to reach the beach at the end of this secluded, narrow, uninhabited peninsula. Turtles might be spotted along the way.
  11:20am SAFATA BAY PENINSULA BEACH is the perfect location for a delightful lunch.
  11:50am PENINSULA EXPLORATION of the stunning waters on both the lagoon and seaward sides at the peninsula’s end. Turtles and other marine life may be present.
  1:00pm PADDLE BACK ACROSS THE LAGOON to the mangrove estuary beach.
  1:25pm MANGROVE ESTUARY offers a chance to rest and swim before the final paddle through the mangroves.

• Papapapaitai Falls - 3:15pm DEPART FOR APIA with a stop at the Papapapaitai Falls viewing platform en route. These breathtaking falls are the tallest in Upolu, standing at 110 meters.

Vai Villas Samoa offers an authentic and vibrant mix of sustainability, ecology, culture, marine activities, and enjoyment, serving as the starting point for a water adventure. Guests can kayak or paddleboard through the overhanging mangroves, navigating 1.5km to the beach on the lagoon of Safata Bay. Take a break here for a refreshing swim. Then, paddle across to the shallow open waters of the Safata Bay lagoon to reach a secluded, untouched beach at the end of the opposite peninsula for lunch. Conclude the journey by returning through the mangroves to Vai Villa Lodge.
