Well worth it!! - We got off to a little rocky start - because a fellow guide had car trouble, so we added his clients to our travel into the city. Luckily we had a big enough van to transport all of us without too much crowding. Once we got to the city the other people went on their way and Erwin gave us a most excellent tour of this beautiful city. His pace was great - walking and talking and stopping every block or two to tell us some of the history. He listened to our interests and took us to places he thought would be of interest to us. He picked a lunch stop that would allow us to have a "typical" Guatamalan meal at a good restaurant. He was courteous all the time and answered every question we had. When it came time to leave the city it turned out that the other couple's car was still not working, so they joined us for the ride back to the ship. All in all a really good day!

Erwin Rivas MB Guatemala - Erwin and his driver, Daniel, were wonderful!! Erwin told us all about the history and culture of Guatemala on our way to Antigua, pointing out sights along the way. He is very knowledgeable and loves to talk about his country! He gave us an excellent walking tour of Antigua, and we also enjoyed the stop at the macadamia nut farm. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestone streets. And allow plenty of time to get back to the ship. There was an accident on the hwy and we had to detour, which slowed us down, but Erwin got us back with time to spare! We really enjoyed our time with Erwin! We highly recommend him and MB Guatemala!

Erwin Rivas Made Our Day! - We signed up for a van transit from the port to Antigua and ended up adding a walking tour of Antigua. Erwin was very knowledgeable and provided a wonderful transportation and walking tour. He guided us to a very good local restaurant and provided us with a comfortable and safe trip to an unknown destination.

Erwin was a great guide and driver... - <p>Erwin was a great guide and driver. There were four of us tourists and his van was more than comfortable for that size group, with lots of space left over. His English is excellent. He told us a lot about the history of Guatemala, its geology, and current state. We were on our own timeline. His only imperative was to get us back to the ship on time - which he did! A couple places we stayed well past the allotted time. He just shuffled things around to make it all work. We missed lunch our own fault, so Erwin bought a monster loaf of delicious banana bread to tide us over til we got back on board. Would definitely recommend him as a guide and driver.</p>
