Casual, conversational tour packed with information! - Wonderful, informal, but extremely informative tour by Michael. From the broad sweep of Dutch history to little details covering the past through present, Michael is a wealth of knowledge, and shared it with us in a conversational, nature way. We really enjoyed the tour.

Amsterdam thru a different lens - Christian was a wonderful host and told us tons of interesting facts about Amsterdam and it’s history. He brought us to areas not mentioned in guidebooks and pointed out numerous things we would have missed on our own. Christian didn’t hesitate to answer all our questions, even when we strayed from the topic being discussed. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a knowledgeable guide and a different view of Amsterdam !

Hidden Historical Spots - Michael gave us a very informative and personal tour. We learned about important landmarks but many other beautiful hidden spots not even familiar to locals. The history of Amsterdam is so interesting and Michael left us wanting to learn more! Will certainly book again next time I’m in Amsterdam

What a great tour and guide! - We just did this tour with Michael. He was an excellent guide. He showed us 2 little secret side streets that were lovely. Basically took us thru parts of the NINE STREETS and the JORDAN area. These areas are just awesome. Quiet, pretty, with lots of little shops and cafes. But before that he took us thru Dam square and nearby places and explained their history... my sister in law and I really really liked it. Michael knew so much about the history of Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. He also did not rush.Take their tour, you will be so glad you did.

Enjoy secret parts on the canals - This walk from Dam Square through the Jordaan was a complete delight. Chris was so knowledgeable about the architecture and history of every spot we stopped; just enough to make it fascinating. And the Jordaan was indeed full of secret alleys, courtyards and old buildings available only to an insider like him - and us! Our guide Christian was very gracious, enjoyable to talk with, and flexible to our little group’s needs. Total pro and worth the cost and more than worth the time!

Good for couples and solo travelers - I attended this tour in May 2019, and really enjoyed it! As I was the only one who signed up for the English walking tour, Michael was my guide (while Christian led another group in German). During the walk, I enjoyed all the quieter streets and hidden parts of Amsterdam that I wouldn't have come across if I were on my own. Michael has a very calm presence and was very kind in answering lots of my questions about what it's like living and working in Amsterdam. I would definitely recommend this to solo travelers and couples who are looking for a special way to explore the city, away from massive crowds.

Great tour to places you'll never find yourself - Couldn't have enjoyed this more. Michael was very knowledgable and friendly. The tour doesn't overpromise with the title, I would have never found some of the spots we went to. I also liked the level of info and history about the places, in between very nice and friendly conversations. I also really liked to receive tips for places to visit later - which I enjoyed as well. All in all, I'd do this tour again and would also book the other tour(s).
