Loving the Loire Valley, going on another tour tomorrow! - Well worth it, Camille our driver/guide was wonderful. The wine vineyards, tasting, history and beautiful flowers were awesome.

Great tour even on a rainy day! - We lucked out and had our amazing guide from the previous day, Marion, lead us on this tour as well. We loved her personality as well as her scholastic and personal knowledge of the area. It was a rather rainy day so we didn’t appreciate the gardens as much as we would have on a sunny day, but the castles were still wonderful to visit. Our finally winery stop planned tour was altered slightly because of the rain, but it meant we had more time inside talking with the owner which we greatly enjoyed.

Fantastic guide and tour - We had a fantastic time and were lucky enough to go on 2 tours with Marion who was so informative, sweet and such a great tour leader! I would highly recommend this company and her as a guide! We hope to go back again to try see of the other tours. Such a wonderful experience!

Great day at Villandry, Azay le Rideau and wineries - The guided tour exceeded my expectations because, in addition to the presentation of the history of the two castles, with an emphasis on Azay le Rideau castle, our guide, Sophie, knew how to keep the conversation alive in the minibus, between locations, presenting a lot of information, from past and present, about the places we passed by. My travel companions (we were 5 in the minibus), helped the conversation a lot, asking interesting questions to which Sophie answered prompty and humorously. The wine tasting at Vouvray, 7 sortiments, was preceded by a guided tour of the cave, led by a member of the family that owns the place, guide the explained the entire production process from grapes harvesting to the actual wine. It turned out to be a marvelous day for me for which I am grateful to my vivacious travel companions and, especially, to Sophie, which was the perfect guide.

Great day of château and wine - Sophie was an incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining guide who brought Château Azay le Rideau to life, and provided not only interesting background to Villandry but the Loire Valley in general. After a very interesting wine tour in Vouvray, we were treated to a bonus wine tour in Amboise. Both were entertaining and the wine tasting generous. Overall a wonderful day. Thank you Sophie!

Simplicity in the Val Loire - Seeing the chateau without the worry of navigation. Ticketing is done for you. Camille is a most gracious guide and host. I would be very happy to go on any Viator tour with Camille in the lead.

A MUST DO!! - Wonderful time. The gardens were incredible. Delicious lunch at restaurant. Our guide Camille was amazing. She made the tour fun and fascinating I would highly recommend this tour and ask for Camille. She was very knowledgable and did a great job.

Loire Valley Small Group Tour - Our tour began in Amboise near to our hotel. We were coming off a week long river cruise that we thoroughly enjoyed. However we were “peopled out.” The cruise required constant interaction with a group of 160 people. This tour was small. Just us and three wonderful companions. This allowed everyone breathing room to see the sights as they would like. Our guide Alex (and her sidekick Steve) were always there to answer any questions. The tour included several stunning chateau’s and a unique cave wine tour. Alex’s knowledge and input helped make this tour come to life for our history deficient minds. This was a tour well worth the price.

Good day visiting castles and winery - Our tour guide Nicholas was amazing! So funny and knowledgeable. Our only issue with the trip was that we didn’t realize you could book each part of the trip separately which cut into an hour of the day dropping and picking up a new couple, it also shortened our time at the second castle because we had to pick up lunch within that timeframe.

Great potential - We enjoyed visiting a castle and garden in the morning. Our guide was very nice but very new, trying to find her groove. The afternoon was wine tasting at two locations and disappointing experience. The first stop was a tasting room, no explanation of the wine other than white/red or stronger in taste. The second stop to a wine maker was better, but only provided white wines. We were forced to stand for both tastings. This was a poor value with limited information.
