Beautiful, wonderful spectacular gardens! - My journey to visit the castles of the Loire took about 8 days, in which I visited several of the most beautiful castles! Villandry Castle, which is also very beautiful inside, is especially known for its beautiful gardens! They are truly wonderful, including the “Jardins potajers”, cultivated with small vegetables of various colors, where the precise geometry of the small vegetable gardens, allows the visitor to enjoy the beauty and the overall glance! In addition, the lavender garden, the water gardens, the Italian gardens, the ornamental garden and much more: 15 thousand square meters of beautiful gardens, a visit recommendedism!

Amazing gardens - The grounds on both chateaus are beautiful, especially the ones at Villandry. They are breathtakingly beautiful. This is April and the tulips are in full blooms. I guess in late spring it’s roses’ turn. This is the place you can spend hours and forget your time.

Enjoyable and comprehensive. - Very comprehensive and enjoyable tour of the Azay Chateau and Gardens and the Villandry gardens. Guide was very informative and knowledgeable on the background and history of the chateaux. Everything was on time and efficient also.

Impressive Castle and Gardens - The word to describe it is AWESOME. The gardens, although we went at Christmas, are exquisite and powerful. The interior of the castle is amazing. Very well cared for and the visit studied in detail. I recommend visiting if you are nearby.

informative and entertaining - The guide was extremely informative and entertaining and we enjoyed the half day tour very much. We felt that it would benefit from an extra hour to allow visiting of D'Azay-le-Rideau village main street and seeing the beautiful Villandry gardens, hence only 4 stars.
