Great introduction to Armenia—just be ready for the border process - This day trip to Armenia with Gamarjoba Georgia Tours, starting in Tbilisi, is perfect for anyone curious about Armenia’s culture, food, and history. It’s a great way to get a first taste of the country without committing to a longer stay (though it definitely sparked my interest in coming back for more, especially to explore Yerevan!). We visited several churches, enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch with plenty of vegetarian options, and even sampled pomegranate wine—light, semi-sweet, and surprisingly pleasant. Our guide, Tota, was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of insight into the region’s complex history and culture. He also helped make the border crossing smoother for everyone. Just a heads-up: While the border is only about an hour from Tbilisi, crossing it can take some time. Be sure to check visa requirements (e-Visa for many nationalities), and expect lines, potential delays, and even X-ray screenings. It’s not difficult, just a bit tedious—so pack some patience and enjoy the ride! Overall, a well-organized tour and a memorable day.

Wonderful excursion - A very informative and well organised trip to Armenia. Everything ran smoothly from the pick up until the drop off, including border crossings. Deme, the tour guide, was incredible. He knew so much and was always open to answer questions. Davide our driver was also great. An incredible trip to explore another country in the South Caucuses as part of a visit to Georgia. The scenery was beautiful and we went to several historical religious sites (churches and monasteries) as well s seeing sights from the country’s recent history, with a lovely home cooked lunch in the middle too.

Taste of Armenia - Nicholas (Tota) was an excellent guide. His English is the best I have come across in Georgia. He explained all the sights in Armenia in the right amount of detail. Lunch was delicious.

We have with our guide... - We had a nice educational day with our guide Demetri. Because of the small group (14p) it was a very personal and pleasant experience. 3 beautiful monasteries viewed and the photo stop at the abandoned copper factory was also definitely a highlight.

Beautiful Scenery, Delicious Lunch, and a Perfect Day in Armenia! - Gamarjoba! We had an unforgettable day trip from Tbilisi to Northern Armenia, visiting some truly stunning monasteries. The scenery along the way was absolutely breathtaking—lush green mountains, peaceful valleys, and charming villages. We were lucky with the weather too: a pleasant breeze made the trip even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the homemade lunch—everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with love. It was a great way to experience authentic Armenian hospitality. The entire day was well-organized, and the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Armenia’s natural beauty and rich history in just one day! Oh ya, not to forget, please check in advance whether you required to apply e-visa to enter Armenia, require 2-3 working days to be approved and once you at the border control, be patience when queuing for passport clearance. Enjoy part of Armenia.
