An emotional and amazing experience - We were collected promptly from our hotel by a friendly driver and taken by taxi to the Wildlife SOS Centre for Elephants. We were each given a big bottle of water, and the taxi was air conditioned - both were much appreciated. The tour starts with the background of the centre and information about elephants in captivity. The videos are hard to watch, but the guide warns you beforehand if you would like to look away. We learned so much about these amazing creatures and then had a tour of their enclosures to learn about each elephant and its rehabilitation and care. The gift centre is lovely, with all proceeds going towards the care of the animals. I would recommend this trip to anyone, especially if they wish to know more about elephant rescue and see them up close.

Educational visit to elephant sanctuary. - A lovely visit to the elephant sanctuary. They explained their mission to rescue elephants who have been exploited for many years and give them their best life. Elephants looked very well cared for, some of which are still recovering from various injuries.

Ethical, wonderful and informative. Cute elephants! - Wonderful experience if you love animals and are looking for an ethical sanctuary. Be prepared to cry because they'll show you an emotional video about animal cruelty. The driver was very nice and kind. Thank you.

Would highly recommend. - Very happy with the visit to the elephant sanctuary. Very informative and was lovely to see the elephants being looked after with such care after their traumatic lives. The driver Shahid was very prompt, had good English and was very friendly and helpful. We were informed ahead of time that we had to pay the entrance fee which is a donation, so there was no confusion. When we arrived we were greeted and they already had our names ready for the tour to start with our guide.

DON’T RIDE AN ELEPHANT whilst visiting India - VISIT WILDLIFE SOS instead to know why! - My friend had seen this trip to the elephant and Bear Sanctuary at Wildlife SOS in Agra recommended in her Indian Tour guide so we booked before arriving in India. We weren’t disappointed! Personally, I knew very little about the mistreatment of elephants and bears used in tourism and/or in the entertainment industry. I’m so glad I visited because although I had actually considered riding an elephant during a forthcoming to Jaipur, I definitely WILL NOT now and never will in the future. The love and care the elephants and bears are shown once at the Wildlife SOS Centre is constant. Although the elephants and bears are unable to be rehabilitated back into the wild, this fantastic not for profit organisation caters for the elephants and bears every need. This then ensures their remaining time on earth is spent in peace, with love and free from further harm. Although the Indian Government have done the right thing and banned, Bear Dancing, its a real shame they and Tourism Agency have not yet banned the use of the elephants . It makes me feel sad elephants are still being lined up in cities such as Jaipur ready to take tourists around the monuments and religious places in the name of ‘entertainment’. Visit the Wildlife SOS Centre an Agra - it’s enlightening?

The best activity in Agra! - Amazing experience visiting the elephant reserve. The work they do here is extraordinary and much needed because of the mistreatment they receive. Our guide Raj explained how they manage the reserve from the time they bring each elephant to the time they pass the adaptation period. Very very interesting. On the other hand, our driver Shahid was great. Super attentive, fun and drives great. He told us very interesting things about India and its culture. Unforgettable day 👌
