Highlights
  • Bus Station - Check in for your tour at the bus terminal Sihlquai and board the coach.
The journey begins with a round trip along the most important sights of Zurich.
  • Rapperswil Rose Gardens - Along lake Zurich you will then travel to Rapperswil and visit the castle with its rose garden and the deer park. You will also have some time at leisure to stroll through the picturesque Old Town.
  • Vaduz - In Vaduz, the capital of the tiny Principality of Liechtenstein you will have more time at leisure. A visit to the Post Office is recommended; the famous stamps from this tiny state are coveted worldwide by philatelists and amateur stamp lovers alike.
  • Heididorf - After a drive through the Rhine Valley we finally arrive at Maienfeld, the setting for the Heidi stories. In the summer months you visit Heidi’s village. A pleasant short walk leads to a collection of typical mountain houses, a village shop, and of course lots of little goats. Entry into the authentic Heidi House is optional.
  • Zurich - A beautiful trip back to Zurich along the banks of Lake Walen, guarded over majestically by the Churfirsten mountain range brings to a close this most nostalgic of Swiss tours.
  • Werdenberg - Please note - in wintertime, you’ll visit the quaint Swiss village of Werdenberg instead of Heidi’s village.
  • Ricken Pass - Then after crossing the Ricken Pass with its panoramic views of the Alps we reach the lovely Toggenburg region whose pretty hill and valley scenery is perfect chocolate box material!

Good trip! - Heidiland was actually very beautiful. We took this tour so that I could add another country to my list, Liechtenstein, so heidiland was just an extra. We did not pay to go in the houses but really enjoyed all the great views and petting the animals. Lietchenstein was a cute very modern stop. We ate at an Italian spot and were able to quickly eat pizza.

Day trip to Liechtenstein - A really enjoyable day trip from Zurich. You don’t get long in each place but we were very happy with the pacing of the day as you get to see more places. Walter was a very warm and informative guide and the bus is comfortable. When you get to Liechtenstein head up to the Red House for the best view of the castle!

Recommend! - Guide was nice and gave a good audio tour w/ itenirary for the day. At Heidiland, if you are doing the tour, start as soon as you get there b/c it is barely enough time to do tour and giftshop but it is doable. Also for Liechtenstein, bring your passport and you can get it stamped at a giftshop there for 3-4 euros.

Relive childhood - It is worth it. Very beautiful landscape. It's a shame that the guide wasn't Spanish as we requested when booking and his nationality was confirmed.

A bit rushed. At times hard to understand the guide. - Overall it was a decent tour. It did feel rushed, and our guide while fluent in English, at times was hard to understand and had trouble with certain English words. As a result, it was difficult to understand him at times. It would have been nice to have had more time and his english to be more clear. I'd recommend it to others, and am happy I went. Just wanted to make others aware of the issues.

Not much to see or experience - There was not much to see or experience. Three stops: Rapperswil, Heidiland, Liechtenstain is a 30 minute stop at a tiiny town square, with a few post-modern sculptures. Heidiland is another short stop that is a park with several farm houses, and you have to pay a fee to visit them. Rapperswill, on the other hand, is a small charminig town worthy of a quick visit. Overall, it is a lot of driving along some scenic roads, but the advertised destinations were disappointingly underwhelming. You should save the money and have more satisfaction just roam around Lake Zurich instead.
