Highlights
  • Restaurant Sed Nakhla - On the way to Chefchaouen, we will pause for a coffee or mint tea to enjoy the view from one of the most beautiful areas in northern Morocco at Sed Nakhla,
then we will continue our tour through the mountains of the Rif to the City of Chefchaouen.
NOTE: In this stop (break), the drinks are included in the tour.
  • Ras El Maa Waterfall - We can say that Ras el ma spring is the cornerstone that resulted in the building of the town of Chefchaouen.
This spring was and still is the only supplier of drinking water to the town.
In the past, it was the source of energy for the watermills that littered the two banks of the spring.
It also had the merit of irrigating the farms that extended along with its current.
Currently, this spring is managed by the National Office of Drinking Water (ONEP) and has become a tourist attraction for all visitors to the town of Chefchaouen.
  • Chefchaouen Medina - Chefchaouen Medina is one of the loveliest in morocco, most of the building is painted in blue-white color, given the city a clean, fresh look and an Andalucian flavor.
  • القصبة - In Chefchaouen, the Kasbah is located in the center of the city.
The kasbah is an ancient military fortification, built in the 15th century.
  • Grand Mosque - Built-in the 15th century, the Great Mosque of Chefchaouen was built on the orders of Moulay Mohamed Ben Ali Ben Rachid, son of the founder of the town. It has an octagonal minaret, which is somewhat unusual compared to the many square minarets that generally dominate the country’s myriad mosques. The shape was influenced by the Andalusian styles brought to the country by Muslims from Spain. Built of stone, the colors of brown and beige are intermingled with the neighboring blue and white buildings. Admiring the mosque is one of the highlights of city life.
  • Place Outa el Hammam - The Outa El Hamam square appears as a point of meeting in the medina of Chefchaouen.
Outa El Hamam is the main square of the city, which serves as a meeting point for hundreds of local people every day.
It is surrounded on three sides by terraces of cafes and restaurants; the fourth offers public benches judiciously placed in the shade of the walls of the kasbah. A large cedar tree occupies the center of the square while several white-trunked lime trees line the edge. The large mosque and its octagonal minaret are also part of the décor.
The square, which is entirely pedestrian, is a lively place: a place of passage, rest, food and drink, a place of intense life.
