Extraordinary Easter Holiday with Khanondo Tours and Safari - It was such an amazing Safari game drive and Zambezi river sunset cruise and boma dance dinner and zip line experience. Amazing - We had an amazing time at the Zambezi National Park. Our Guide, Prince, was very informative/ knowledgeable on the animals and birds that we saw. We were able to spot many animals thanks to his sharp eyes! Spotting of the Lions having a feast, elephants, buffalos and may others were mesmerizing moments. Thank you once again Prince for this wonderful safari.

Safari Gamedrive with Prince - What an exciting Gamedrive it was and all thanks to the walking encyclopedia guide Prince. It wasn't our first time to do the Gamedrive in Zambezi Park and from the pickup moment, guide Prince had to prepare us that we were going to the Chamabondo Park. We could tell he that he knows all hidden corners of the bushfield as we saw lions ,hyenas eating a carcass, lots of elephants, zebras, giraffes, OMG list is endless. The Gamedrive was the last activity of our tour. We did the sunset cruise with khanondo and my family wasn't happy with the crew service, the boat departed very late, shortage of snacks and very few limited options of beverages. We wouldn't compare it with the cruise we did last year under shearwater riversong. Nevertheless, guide Prince nailed it and I would recommend him for gamedrives,100 stars Prince !!!!

Disappointing - There is always a risk on a game drive that one might not see animals. However, people always book with the hope that they will have better luck. We were lucky, this drive was sponsored by a kind benefactor. We booked an early morning drive. We were picked up from the hotel at 6am. I wore shorts and a long sleeve thin shirt, well, in hindsight, I should have probably worn long trousers and should have have also brought a jumper. The open truck was very chilly. The blankets they offered did help a little bit. We stopped at a few hotels to collect other passengers and finally got to the park gates around 7. Entry fees were 15US for international travellers (excludes the tour cost). We saw a lot of springbok, boars, hippopotamus, buffalos, giraffes and various types of birds. We also saw lion tracks but did not see an actual lions which was a shame. At one point, we saw a female giraffe accompanied by a baby giraffe. We were told that they appeared to be running away from a predictor of sorts. The adult giraffe regularly stopped to look behind and then resumed running. What a spectacle, you can imagine the sight of this long legged creature galloping. We presumed we would then wait to see the predictor but the game rangers turned the car around promptly and we headed in the same direction that the giraffe was running to. As a result, we never worked out what she was running away from, this was a bit of a disappointment. We stopped briefly by the river and had a cup of tea and snacks before heading back. This was a disappointing drive but I suppose there is always this risk.
