Wonderful Tasting Experience - Francisco is a wonderful tour guide. He has an in-depth knowledge of the history of Mexican food and the tour was both educational and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour and the food tasting and when I asked if he could find us a coffee shop he assisted with that too and we ended up at Cafe Ixtapa. This tour is well worth the time and money - but go hungry!!

Fantastic Food and Guide! - This trip is a great way to start your visit to Zihua. You’ll learn a lot about the food culture and be able to taste many many different dishes. Come hungry, each place you get a small tortilla or torta, but you’ll visit around 6 different places. All the dishes we tried were meat based. Our guide was very helpful in making sure we used corn tortillas for my dishes since I have Celiac/gluten-free. A mix of walking and driving. Bring plenty of water since the weather and the food is warm!

Best food tour I’ve ever been on - Francisco led our tour and did not disappoint! Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about Mexican food, culture and history, he provided an amazing experience. Pick up was prompt, a few minutes early even, and he was so thoughtful by asking if anyone had any allergies (we don’t, but it was still very considerate) We made 6 stops and tried a variety of traditional Mexican favorites in and around the Zihua Central Market. The tour is described as non-vegetarian, which is right on point, 5 of the 6 stops featured different meats cooked in different ways, I loved the carnitas at Carnitas Merchant (big thanks to Sirena and her family) and my wife loved the chivas tacos. Overall fantastic experience! Thank you Francisco, your knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm made this a tour we’ll never forget!

Great food, interesting history - Francisco’s focus was on excellent food not fancy restaurants. He did a great job. Learned many of the Mexican dishes go back to Mayan and Aztec days.

Walking tour with food tasting - Francisco picked us up at our hotel, and he was very pleasant and excited about taking us to downtown for our food tasting! he was very knowledgeable and explained each and every one of our stops and how the food was prepared! Our last stop was at the wine bar! where he recommended us to make a tasting reservation! So we did! He met our expectations very well! I would highly recommend taking his tour! !

Great tour!! - Great tour. We learned a lot about Mexican cuisine and all its heritage. It’s a lot of food (although every bite is delicious) I wish the portions were a little smaller. Our guide was great and spoke English very well. I’d highly recommend

Nasty. - Terrible service, the food was not delicious and tasted passé. In the end they didn’t seal our ticket or give us any discount in the parking lot. 0/10
