Paddle alongside a guide as you make the 45 minute trip to Las Gatas Beach, where you’ll pause for a cold beer or a bottle of water before starting an hour snorkel tour of the Las Gatas seawall.
Everything from hermit crabs to tropical fish makes their home on the sheltered inner surface of the seawall, and you’ll also find sea urchins and sea cucumbers among the coral reef formations. Swim as far as the ‘king of kings’ statue, an underwater statue of Jesus.
Return to shore for lunch on the beach, choosing from a main dish of fish filet or shrimp or chicken fajitas or cheese quesadillas.
Relax on the beach for 1 hour and 45 minutes to soak up the sunshine or swim, then return to your kayak for the trip back to La Ropa Beach, this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel at roughly 3:30 P.M.

You can bring a change of... - You can bring a change of clothes, a towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, money as there is a safe place to put them. It was a great trip.
Pablo knows the history of Zihua and also

Los Gatos Beach Day - The tour was phenomenal! Pablo was very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Kayaking was beautiful and we saw so many fish while snorkeling. Everything was very easy and convenient including the hotel pick up.

Probably the Best Tour We've Ever Experienced - Luis gave us one of the best tours we've experienced in our travels. He promptly met us on the beach right outside our place with individual kayaks ready to go. He gave us a detailed tour of the bay as we kayaked to Gatas Beach.
Once at Gatas, he took us snorkeling around the reef. He was extremely knowledgeable and cared about the reef and the animals living there. At one point, he brought a sea urchin up from the reef and pressed the creature gently onto our palms one at a time. I've not experienced such delight as when the creatures' suckers attached to my palm as if I were part of the reef. He then returned the creature safely back to its home.
Afterward, we relaxed at a restaurant on the beach and ate the included meal. Excellent local fish caught right out of the bay and good strong cocktails (cocktails not included, so if you want to partake, bring some cash [a beer or soft drink was included]). After our meal, he gave us a short tour of the beach and gave us detailed information about the flora growing along the beach and a little bit of history.
We would 100% do another tour with Luis if we were to ever return to Zihua.

Productive and super fun kayak/snorkel adventure - Pablo was a great- very friendly, informative and helpful. So lots of fish snorkeling. The restaurant was all right- not our favorite meal since we’ve been here. We all enjoyed the activity - it’s very active

Mother Daughter Adventure - We had a great time with Pablo. This was a mother daughter trip for my 15 year old and it was the perfect mix of kayaking and snorkeling following by lunch and a little time on the beach. Would highly recommend. Everyone was so nice!

Could not ask for more. Excellent trip. - Excellent trip. Hosts Luis and Pablo are one of the best we have ever experienced. History lessons about the area were great. Any questions - they got it. Snorkeling was a little rough because of waves that day, but it was still great. Saw the puff fish and others.
Kayaking at the bay is very scenic.
Highly recommend.

Well worth the price of the tour - This tour was exactly as advertised. They take care of everything, including transportation to and from your lodging. I rode with my son in one of the kayaks, but singles are available. The kayak portion was around 45 minutes in total. After that, we took a break on Las Gatas for a beverage. Then you snorkel just off the beach and encounter numerous colorful fish. The coolest sighting was a puffer fish that actually puffed up.
After snorkeling, it's lunch at a restaurant on the beach. The food was average, but it was a cool place to hang out.
Luis was a great host and went the extra mile when I left a key in the van. Once we let him know, he returned to our hotel and hand-delivered the key.
I highly recommend this tour--well worth it.

Las Gatas Fun! - I’m so happy we chose this excursion with Luis and his team! Luis was very communicative prior to the day of the excursion. They picked us up from our hotel promptly and provided detailed information on what to expect for our kayaking and snorkeling experience. Mario, who spent the morning with us, shared fascinating history about Zihuatanejo and had great stories to tell. The entire team was very professional, yet warm and friendly in conversation.
I would highly recommend booking your outings with Luis and his team — safe, friendly, and well-organized tours!
