Making the best of a rainy day in Slovenia - My husband and I went on the full day tour of Bled & Bohinj lakes which also included the Vintgar Gorge, Bled Castle and the Pletna Boat Ride. Our guide was superb. Very fluent in English, during the drive, he shared a lot of information on Slovenia and the locations we were visiting. Because the weather forecast called for torrential rain later in the day, our guide adjusted our itinerary so that we could walk the Vintgar Gorge before the rain began. He also picked us up close to the exit of the Vintgar Gorge walk saving us a long walk back. Fortunately, we were able to finish most of our sightseeing before the rain started. We ate at a traditional Slovenian restaurant during the rain. Because of the rain, we could not do the Skofja Loka walking tour but our guide made the best of a rainy day. We would highly recommend this tour.

Lovely Lake Bled and Bohinj - We had a very good driver and knowledgeable guide who took us to the sites and was very attentive and went out of his way to even recommend some great Slovenian wines and great brunch place near our hotel. Borut is friendly, helpful, knowledgable and provided good information. We had a very enjoyable day at Bled and Bohinj with a taste of this really nice but decadent kremsnita at the castle.

Amazing lake Bled - The breathtaking beauty of lake Bled and the castle was remarkable. It was all day adventure including stop in Lublyana. The guide Stephen was great and informative, everything went smoothly and nicely organized. Advice for travelers who is qualified to ask for senior discounts when buying admission tickets to castle and else. You can save 30%. Generous rule from Slovenian government.

Beautiful Slovenia - The Magic Roundabout - We booked a day trip to Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj and Sofski Laka back in 2020 before the pandemic. So fortunate to eventually make it here in 2022 and rebook the trip with Roundabout. It was excellent. There were 8 of so we had the coach to ourselves, looked after by Primoz. He was an excellent and safe driver, patient when it came to driving through country roads and mountain passes. As we travelled we learned much from Primoz about Slovenia and the places we were visiting. Before we reached Lake Bled we visited and walked along Vintgar Gorge, which had just opened after being closed over the winter. The lakes were tranquil, beautiful and we loved the boat trip over to the picturesque island in Lake Bled. The visits to Lake Bled Castle and Skofja Loka took us back in time and the day was organised in such a way we experienced so much of Slovenia, the beautiful landscapes and its history, in one day. Primoz had connections and made calls, which helped with parking and the boat trip on Lake Bled. We had plenty time to experience the places we visited, to relax (including comfort breaks) and explore. It was a great day, leaving at 8am (on time) and back 18:30pm (on time). While you have to pay entrance fees to Vintgar Gorge, Lake Bled Castle and for the boat trip (all optional), it was excellent value for money. Kvala Primoz and Roundabout.

Best day trip with Urban - Our guide’s name was Urban and he was brilliant at showing us around and explaining historical and geographical significances of the area.
