Flying From Zanzibar To Selous Game Reserve (Boat & VillageTour)

Selous Game Reserve - Our professional driver will pickup you from hotel to Zanzibar International Airport for flying to Nyerere National Park at Mtemere Airstrip where you will be taken by our professional drivers to the Africa Safari selous for relaxing, then you will go for the village walking tour with our professional guide to see various activities conducted by the villagers and their culture. After complete village tour you will be back at Africa Safari selous for launch.

In the same day from 04:00 up to sunset you will do boat safari tour at biggest and longest river in Tanzania called Rufiji river that is approximately 600 kilometres (370 mi) long, with its source in southwestern Tanzania and its mouth on the Indian Ocean opposite. The river has many attractions include crocodile, Hippo, river cliffs, birds and other more.

Full Day Game Drive At Nyerere National Park

Selous Game Reserve - In this day after breakfast from 07:30 AM to evening you will do full game drive tour at Nyerere National Park formerly know as Selous game reserve, the journey will start from the Africa safari Selous where you will be taken by our professional drivers and guides. In the this day you will get to enjoy various tourist attraction like animals include Elephant, zebra, giraffe, antelope and other more. Also you will see birds and other landscape scenery with varied topography including wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with vast views of far off mountains.

In afternoon you will get packed launch and sometime to rest, then continuing with game drive until in the evening where you will return to Africa Safari Selous for dinner and sleeping and preparing for the next last day.

Bushman walking Safari & Flying To Zanzibar

Selous Game Reserve - In this last day before breakfast you will do bushman walking tour in the forest with our bushman accompanied with armed ranger, then return to the hotel for breakfast and preparation to Mtemere Airstrip where you will be pickup by our drivers and flying to Zanzibar.

Unforgettable experience - We booked a 3 day safari tour from Zanzibar to Nyere Park with Uwanda Tours for Oct 23 and it was an incredible experience. Everything was well organized and we were positively surprised by the accommodation. The safari experience (boat safari, game drive, walking tour) was also great. Above all, our guide JJ and driver Haji made the safari trip very special. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The walking tour with Dr Simba was also very informative and educational. I would book the tour exactly the same way again.

Very good company with Licence and low prices - I found this company on Safaribooking and I bought two night package for Nyerere park privately for a very cheap price considering we slept in a Luxury lodge with all food and drinks included, we had a return flight to Zanzibar, boat safari, game drive and other 3 activities. They have been very accommodating with us and they answered to all our questions. I asked them their license and I found they were registered on the Tanzania government website which was absolutely important for us. We paid only small deposit and when we asked them to change the date of the safari they have not asked us for any additional money and they made us happy with the request. The Selous lodge was very new and the people were very nice and accommodating, we had all food and soft drinks included, we were so happy for their service. The game drive was very good but keep in mind the park is very large. The bush tour was so funny, the boat safari also was interesting and the tour village was also good as we asked the guide to take us to the school and a church and he made us happy. We requested to leave early because we did not want to wait long in the lodge after the morning tour and they also made us happy about this. So we did not do the tour (the free one) because we decided to leave at 7 am as there was a gap between the morning activity and the flight time at 4 pm. The only downtown was that we were made aware of the change plan (all the excursions were followed, they only changed the day of each activities and they added a new activity for FREE) when we were leaving our country and this did not give us time to search and plan for a different tour with them, however I think they have fixed this in their website since this change was done due to a tax applied by the government. Overall I recommend them as a company and if I go back to Tanzania for sure I contact them for other tours.

"No Fences Safari Excursion" - An absolutely awesome experience with my personal guide Alfa & Range Rover driver Ali @Selous Safari Village Camp. The journey was highlighted with my introduction to Kangai{pronounced 'kon•g•eye', my personal Massai guide and Dr. Simba, the Selous Safari Village Camp "Bushman" walking tour guide... AWESOME!!!! Safari day was amazing - We went on a two day and one night safari to Nyerere national park. Pocked up at our hotel in Zanzibar at 4.30 am to fly to the park. Spent the first day with Aristides in his Land Rover tour. He was amazing. He picked up up from the airport at about 7.15 am and didn’t drop us back at the hotel until 6.30 pm. During this time he worked so hard to ensure we saw all the animals. He was amazing. We saw so many giraffes, buffalo and zebras. We found 2 elephants plus a lion and lioness and much more. Would highly recommend The hotel which was a 2 minute drive outside the park was basic but ok for one night. Day two was a 2 hour boat trip which was fun. Then Goodluck showed us around the local village which was interesting. Goodluck was also very informative and helpful. We went back to the hotel for lunch at 1pm and then sat around the hotel for about 3 hours before the flight home Would highly recommend
