Great morning! - Great morning with Moshi (+255 627 449 934). We went to Mnembe island to swim in the coral. While we were there dolphins passed by and Moshi invited us to swim with them even though this wasn’t agreed on before hand. He is very friendly and provided a great service. Would recommend to anyone visiting Matembwe beach.

Snorkeling Trip - Josef was our guide. He showed up on time to take us on the snorkeling trip. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Flexible with our schedule so that we could spend as much or as little time as we wanted at the sites we went to. The Indian Ocean water and the atoll were beautiful.

My Zanzibar Baecation - What an exhilarating experience we had. We were in luck and saw those magnificent dolphins in beautiful turquoise waters with plenty of great picturesque fish 🐠 . It's an experience that will remain with us for a long time. Especially since it was my first...

Great snorkling tour around Mnemba - We really enjoyed this snorkling tour around Mnemba Atoll. First we went looking for dolphins and we saw some wild dolphins. There was a lot of fish and we were able to snorkle for about two hours with a break. During the break we were served fresh fruits and water. After snorkling we went to a beautiful sand bank and spent half an hour there before heading back to Zanzibar Island. Beautiful tour!

Great place - way too crowded - The destination is great - but completely overcrowded. Even at the parking lot there is chaos due to the many taxi buses. There are well over 100 boats on the road at the moment, all looking for dolphins in the same place. As soon as a fin is spotted, dozens of boats race off, close together. Occasionally snorkelers jump into the water between the moving boats, very dangerous. We rush with all the other boats after the animals that keep appearing, which are obviously swimming away from us. We ask them to stop this and continue snorkeling. There is a lot to see - but boats keep driving right through countless snorkelers. Our guide swims with us along the reef and keeps an eye on us. We get fresh fruit on the boat. We advise against it - great place, completely overcrowded and sometimes dangerous.

overall, somewhat of a disappointement - A long and rather tiring trip by boat. It was very windy and there were not a lot of marine life to see, especially compared to the Maldives. The seafood picnic was nice, though. Overall, not to be advised by families with children or seniors,

Complete disappointment - Although we had not booked for any dolphin experience (I think its totally unethical) we ended up chasing this poor pod of dolphins around for about 30mins. Nobody seems to realise that when you have over 15boats in a tiny area, all chasing the animals at top speed or trying to cut in front of them, or even worse, when heavy humans are jumping on top of them from the boats, they're not going to hang around, as well as the detrimental effect this all has on their wellbeing. So even the dolphin experience, if you want it, is very shortlived and chaotic. Anyway, when we finally got to Mnemba Island, it was also a huge disappointment..there were over 30boats meaning they're knocking into each other and we didn't feel safe snorkelling amongst them as they were moving too much and their anchors are all tied up together in the water meaning not much free space for the snorkelling. The coral and fish were fine - there were some nice things to see for sure - but certainly not worth the time or cost of this trip. I would NEVER recommend this.

Bad Tour - Viator offered a half day snorkeling trip. Maybe we were two hours on the water and they asked us if it’s ok to turn around. That was ok for us because we had nothing to drink and also we got no fruits or snacks which viator offered. In addition they had no equipment for snorkeling. I was happy that I had my own mask with me. But the other girl on my tour ( we were just two ) hadn’t. The tour guys were so friendly to ask another boat to borrow us one. But nevertheless we hadn’t flippers. So that was hard to snorkel for more than 30 minutes. The other strange thing was that I booked a snorkeling tour and the other girl booked a dolphin tour. So I don’t know how is the communication between viator and local agency’s. I’ve never had such a bad experience with viator before

Dreadful & Misleading - This was the WORST tour we had in East Africa. The driver was nearly an hour late to collect us, then once we parked up he stood around with 5 other men all arguing aggressively, eventually we had to interrupt to ask what was going on to which we were told "I'm find you a captain". Finally we head off for the boat and theres 2 other men to assistant on the boat. It takes us nearly an hour to get to the island and it was PACKED, boats everywhere and completely unsafe. For lunch we were given a bottle of water each and a few pineapple and mango slices. No snorkelling equipment was provided so its lucky I brought my own, but my partner had to sit alone on the boat with nothing to do. The driver knew a little english but didn't engage with us about the marine life or anything, and the other two men couldn't speak english at all, so the tour was highly uncomfortable. The boat was tiny and old, the ladder was too short. Finally I asked the captain to head back, once we were on shore we were expected to tip all 3 men... FOR WHAT? I paid over $200 for this tour and it was awful! Please avoid this tour at all costs, rather book with your accommodation provider.
