Absolutely amazing - Picked up from hotel, only 2 people on the tour. Walked through the woods, while cappuccino pointed out different plants. Was able to smell and taste spices while learning how to grow and harvest different plants. 1/2 way through tour stopped to smell perfumes, soaps, and lotions. All proceeds went toward the local school for orphans. Continued on to taste many local fruits (oranges, pineapples, coconuts, and pineapples to name a few). Butterfly showed us how to climb a coconut tree, while singing the Zanzibar anthem. He took hibiscus flowers and banana leaves woven together to make us rings, bracelets, and crowns. The best part, cappuccino took us to his childhood home, his mother and sister made us an authentic Zanzibar lunch. Absolutely amazing experience!! The spices at the end were cheap for the quality ($5 a pack/ US dollar). The atmosphere was relaxed, was able to wear sandals and tank tops. Only brought enough money to tip 4 people, but wish we brought more for the spices as well. No cards accepted. Would love to do this again. This group takes their wages at the end of the month and turns a percentage into the school.
