Mikumi National Park - Pick-up from Zanzibar hotel or port and drive to the airport. You will then fly to Mikumi National Park, The flight is about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Mikumi you will proceed to enter the park gates and enjoy game drive experience.

Lunch is included in this offer.

Mikumi NP has a variety of animals and you will be able to see the Big 5 minus the Rhinos. There are many animals in the park and the likes of Zebras and Giraffes are everywhere at Mikumi.
Enjoy that authentic African Game drive experience at Mikumi with us.

In the evening you will go to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park - Spend a half day game drive at the Mikumi National Park after breakfast.

Mikumi National Park is part of the larger Selous ecosystem together with the Selous Game Reserve and harbours remarkable numbers of bird species and animals. The animals that can be spotted at Mikumi NP include giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, impalas, warthogs, zebras, wildebeests, elands, lions and many other antelopes.

Exit the park for your flight back to Zanzibar scheduled for 4:30 pm.

A once in a lifetime experience! - My friend + I booked this excursion last minute so we were very grateful that Omah managed to accommodate us so quickly. He was both professional + friendly at every single touchpoint of our experience. Omari, our driver was extremely knowledgeable of both the animals + the park. Also an excellent driver! We saw a wide selection of animals up close from elephants, giraffes, tropical birds to impalas and even a lion! Highly recommend.

The perfect safari experience! - Everything about this trip was perfect thanks to connect african safaris. We were 2 female travellers from the UK and Sheikha made sure everything was organised so well. Our driver was Omari and he made the journey so fun, he mentioned lots of Tanzanian history along the way from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi. The game drive was spectacular and made the entire experience worth every penny. We very fortunately saw a few lions up close within the first 5 minutes of entering the park and saw pretty much all the animals too within a few hours (including loads of zebras, elephants, giraffes etc). Our accomodation for the night was camp bastian which was amazing too, the food was delicious and staff were so friendly and helpful. Only one minor point to note was that the travel time from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi and back was underestimated by a couple of hours each way as there are lots of speed restrictions and policing checks along the way. Thank you so much for everything, i’ll be recommending you to everyone I know!

Amazing!!! - Highly highly recommend! Omah made the process of booking our one night safari from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi easy and stress free, accommodating our budget and requirements. Omari, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. He had amazing English and knowledge of the animals, birds, plants and culture. He spotted many animals we would never have seen with our own eyes and was super kind and friendly, making our experience absolutely amazing. He made sure we saw everything possible! Once in a lifetime experience! Food was also very good! Don’t hesitate to book with connect safaris, they will look after you very well :))

A great experience, highly recommended - Our experience was better than I could have imagined. The driver, Francis, was very safe on the roads and consistently gave us a much smoother ride than I expected on occasionally rough dirt roads. Francis was also incredibly observant, spotting concealed wildlife that we would not have seen otherwise. I wasn't sure that a one-night safari would be enough, but four hours in the park the first evening, followed by five hours the next morning, felt like more than enough time on safari. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife, everything i hoped to see and more. Omar was very accommodating and easy to work with, even though we booked and paid the day before. In the digital American society it's uncomfortable to hand a large amount of money to someone you have never met, but Omar was completely trustworthy, reliable, and very interested in the quality of our experience. I will book with him when I return to Tanzania and highly recommend booking with him.
