Are you famished? Fantastic. Inquisitive? Even greater! The delicacies of Croatia come from modest, yet genuine food sources. It’s been a tradition to eat with regards to the seasons, and the best display of this philosophy is none other than the Zagreb Farmer’s Market (Dolac). Join our walking and tasting tour that continues for about 5-6 hours. You’ll weave through the market, savor delicious nibbles, and complement them with local vintages. Beyond the market, we’ll also explore 7 other gastronomic points along with sightseeing around Zagreb’s prominent locations. As a member of a limited group (maximum of 8 participants), rest assured you will receive the full attention of your guide who is an expert in all things edible.

11/10 Great food and history - Karmela was one of the best tour guides we've ever had. She gave us great history of the city itself as well as in depth information about the food and wine native to Croatia. She was also just very pleasant to be around. Definitely come to the tour with an empty stomach - the amount of food we got to taste was a lot and it was all so good.

Zagreb Gourmet Food Tour - This tour will be such a memorable experience of our trip to Croatia. Karmela was absolutely wonderful!! Not only was she super knowledgeable about the history and food/wine of Croatia, but she made the entire experience so intimate. We never felt rushed. You can tell she really loves what she does. We will 100% be doing her cooking class if we ever come back to Zagreb.

Outstanding Food Tour - Karmela, our guide was excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed her telling of the history of Zagreb along with sampling of delicious Croatian food and drinks. She shared her love of cooking with us and the different local ingredients she uses in her recipes.

Exceptional experience, if I could I would give it 7 stars! - An exceptional experience, certainly the best value I have encountered on any food tour! Delicious Croatian food as well as a walking history tour of Zagreb by an engaging, passionate and knowledgeable local guide. Our day started with coffee, cheese tastings and then a visit to the Dolac markets for more cheese tastings and visiting other local produce vendors (cured meats, fish, bread, pickles etc... ) Next was a visit to a hidden cafe to have strukli (delicious), to a wine bar to taste quality Croatian wines and cured meats and then to a traditional Croatian restaurant for lunch. We finished the day with a local dessert at a cafe (six hours later). This food tour will be our benchmark for all future tours. We have joined over a dozen food tours across Europe in the past, many of which have been 5 star experiences but in comparison this tour is 7 stars!

Croatian hospitality at its finest - Karmela's Croatian hospitality is unparalleled. She loves her country, history, cuisine and its people, which definitely shows. I love the mix of old school traditional and reimagined traditional with 100% Croatian ingredients and heart.
She is generous with her time and answering questions. Karmela is a gem and you'd be blessed to have her show you around carefully selected food purveyors.

Karmela was an absolutely... - Karmela was an absolutely wonderful guide. She gave amazing descriptions of the food we were trying and history of the city as we walked around. It was the perfect combination and the time flew by. We would absolutely recommend Karmela's tour to others visiting Zagreb!

The ultimate food/sightseeing tour - This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. Karmela was very knowledgeable not only about food, but also about Croatian history. The day we took our tour we started off with a cup of artisan coffee and then proceeded to Upper Town to explore the city in the morning since it was going to be very hot. Then in the afternoon we went to all of the remaining food stops. It was amazing to be able to try all the various traditional Croatian foods. We definitely went back to some of the locations before leaving Zagreb.

Wonderful Food Tour - What a great introduction to Croatian cuisine and what Zagreb has to offer. The tour was well paced with walking and discussion of the history of Zagreb and Croatia between stops. Very enjoyable. The food and wine selections were first rate. Leave room for the Strukli!
