Recommended Trip - Excellent tour of Baroque town Varazdin and Trakoscan Castle. Our tour guide was Maya, and she was highly informative and personable. Varazdin has several interesting churches and a charming atmosphere. Trakoscan Castle also has a lake and a forest with the same name. Both the interior and exterior of the castle are worth exploring.

Peaceful and magnificent - This was simply a marvelous tour. Both Varazdin and the castle are a must see. Not only magnificent views but also the peace and quiet were impressive at both locations. Out guide Maja was excellent, She was very knowledgeable and patient to answer the tonnes of questions we had! Thank you and would definitely recommend.

An excellent day trip to Varaždin and Trakošćan castle. - We finished went on a group excursion through the Varaždin, visiting baroque architecture and being guided through the history of the area.
We then took a tour into Trakošćan castle, having some time to look through.
The view around Trakošćan castle was scenic and very nice. We could have spent a little more time around the lake of Trakošćan.
Overall, it was a very nice day trip.

Great Day Trip - Maja was an excellent tour guide. I really enjoyed both the walking tour of the town and the castle tour. Beautiful scenery! This is a great way to spend a day if you’re in Zagreb, highly recommend!

Loved the day!! - Wow! Myia (spelling?) was amazing. First of all her command of English was better than most native Americans. Even more importantly she knew her stuff—very authoritative. Finally, she smiled the whole day. It made you want to listen to her. Ps. Great driver too

A quaint town and a castle - We had a very nice time on this tour. Our guide was fantastic; she is very knowledgeable about all things Croatia and has an obvious love for her country that was evident in her presentation.
Verazdon is a picturesque town and we enjoyed walking around the center. Trakoscan is very nice and includes much of the original furnishings. Plus there are QR codes which provide additional information. The path to the castle proper is not overly strenuous.
The pace of this tour was very relaxed, which suited us well since we are at the end of our time in Croatia. However, we felt our visit to castle was too short - we had to hurry through the second floor and we didn’t have time to read all the placards. If we could make one suggestion it would be to have more time to linger in Trakoscan instead of in Verazdon.
