100% Disappointment in the provider but the dunes were cool - I booked a tour to Erg Chigaga and was instead taken to Merzouga. The drivers didn't care and the organiser did not respond to my messages. This is not a tour. This is being driven somewhere with a few stops for pictures, to use the toilet, to eat (at "restaurants" which you cannot select yourself) and to sleep. You spend almost all day in the minbus and are handled like a good, with little to no information or customer service. Things which would improve the experience: - Being taken where you paid to go - Being placed in a minibus with like minded travellers rather than mixing families and solo travellers. - Having the option to stop when and where you want to, inc. if the group want to skip a stop or spend longer at one place. - Not being forced onto tour guides at each stop who expect further payment for delivering the absolute minimum. - Having the option to eat where you want to. - Having the option to eat something other than chicken tagine. - Not sitting around waiting for hours on end. - Learning something - Having a break of more than just time to take a picture - Being able to meet some locals and experience something genuine, rather than jusy sales pitches - Sticking to the itinerary - Being given information about the timings - Having some drinks (water) included - Having a set price so everyone on the tour feels fairly treated (Some people paid as little as 120 Euros for exactly the same experience) - Less sales pitches - Not stopping with all the other tourist buses in the middle of nowhere all the time to buy tat from the organisers friends and associates. - Being able to go into Atlas Studios rather than just look in from outside - Being able to hike a little in Dades - Evening entertainment - The possibility of a lie in. - Camping in the desert eand dunes not staying right on the edge a stone's throw from gravel and roads. - Rooms being organised beforehand and not ad hoc on arrival somewhere (whereby it is suggested for a two female travellers to share with a man they have never met before when they have booked their own room) - Less time visiting "local artisans" which are really just souvenir shopping opportunities - An activity, any activity, on the last day to break up the ~10 hour drive back to Marrakesch - Not paying a further 50 Euros for a Quad Bike experience which consists of 10 minutes at walking pace.
