a Taste of Africa restaurant & Coffee Shop - This unique adventure starts with a short boat ride to the famous Alexandria Dune field; the
largest, most impressive and least degraded dune field in South Africa. No matter if you’re a
beginner or a seasoned sandboarder; our guides will have you moving down the dunes like a
pro in no time.
We offer 2- or 3-hour sandboarding tours which give everyone more than enough time to learn
some new skills and have a great time while doing it. And if you don’t feel confident on the
stand-up board, you can sit down or try a belly-board ride down the dune.
We supply the sandboarding equipment but please remember to bring along your own
sneakers/ tekkies, loose-fitting clothes, swimming gear, drinks, sunglasses and cameras.

Please arrive at our local restaurant A Taste of Africa, next to the Colchester KWIKSPAR, at least 30 minutes before the starting time of your activity so you can sign in and we can get the activity started on time.

GREAT TRIP UP THE SUNDAYS RIVER AND FUN SANDBOARDING - We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride with Adam up the river and then he dropped us off to do the sand boarding which was great fun for all of us. I give these two excursions 5 out of 5 but where they fell down was at the Reception and service at the restaurant. Upon our arrival it was a bit rough and ready there and there was a heated discussion going on between staff members. We ordered something light to eat before going up the river but it seemed to take forever to arrive and had to rush to eat it as it was time to go. Need to jack this area up.
The boat ride and sand boarding were great excursions to do and if in the area then do yourself a favour and enjoy.
