The Morbidly Mysterious York Expedition is a dramatic and darkly comedic stroll that perfectly fits those who delight in a dash of wickedness and are eager to journey through the city’s shadowy past with our guides, renowned for their brilliantly sinister humour.
Kindly understand that this is not a haunted house experience. The tour accommodates families, but kids must be supervised by their adult companions at all times.
The assemblage for this tour can range from 20 -50 individuals and it’s open to the public. However, smaller and private groups can be accommodated upon request.

Dante gave a hilarious yet spooky tour - Dante made the tour hilarious yet spooky. Great guy with lots of charisma. He had a great flow and had the whole tour group laughing and screaming (not an exaggeration - beware of a jumpscare or two👻) for the whole duration.

Good way to fill the evening - Lots of enthusiasm and humour from Dr Dorian in his ghost stories.
The walking tour ensures you get to see some of the sights of York along the way. Watch out for the ghost detector.... you might find out there's a ghost in your presence.... ooooo spooky

Fantastic tour - Our tour guide was Dafydd, and he was brilliant. He had us hooked from the go. Would highly recommend this tour. And if you get Dafydd, you will be in luck.

Couldn’t look away! - Dorian was an incredible storyteller! You could hear a pin drop in our group as we all listened so intently. We loved the stories & felt every word, plenty of laughs along the way & of course the occasional jump scare! Compared to other reviews I have seen on other Ghost Tours, The Deathly Dark Ghost tour was the right choice for us! All meet at bar 1331 which does a cracking cocktails so make sure you get there early to enjoy one! Nice tour of York - We had a very pleasant time! The tour guide was Daria and she was very entertaining. I didn’t realize it was a 1.5hour tour! I love learning about the history of a city in this kind of context & would have loved even more stories. A lovely way to spend an evening!

Great fun! - This was a great ghost tour, and we’ve been on a bunch! Daria was terrific! We went at 8:00 pm and by the end of the tour it was dark. Daria was funny, told good stories, and got everyone engaged.

Worth the money - The tour took us around a few, supposedly haunted, sites in the centre of York. The stories told were interesting and the guide included us whenever possible. However, our tour guide was a bit too theatrical for my taste but the tour itself was good and worth the money.
