Enjoy Alice and her madness - This guided tour is a crazy amount of fun, and we found it very good value for money. We pre-booked it online which was very easy to do. Alice is fantastic and one of the warmest and most knowledgeable guides I've encountered on a walking tour. All the locals know her! You get to hear about some of York's most infamous hero's and villains, and plenty of spooky events. The tour takes you through many of the city's hotspots. And she somehow managed to remember everyone's name in a group of about 30 people! We finished the tour feeling amused, well-informed, and very fond of York and its lovely inhabitants.

Worth every penny - Despite being exhausted from a long day of sight seeing, Mad Alice kept us thoroughly entertained as she led us through the city telling us tales of its famous dead inhabitants.

Best storyteller in York! - 'Mad Alice' is a captivating storyteller! She has a wealth of spooky, dark York knowledge. She led us through the streets of York, giving a unique look at history, getting to know her audience and entertaining us all along the way. Highly recommend!!

Best Tour in York! - Terrific tour! Mad Alice was amazing in her story telling, taking us back in time and seeing another aspect of York, whilst having a great sense of humour. Both me and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly Recommended! One word of warning: Alice has an unbelievable memory, so don’t yawn during the tour or she will have her payback during the tour…
