Wow!! Night Cruise of York on the River Ouse! - We boarded for the 8pm cruise at the end of August as a walk-on and must say we were not disappointed!! This is a delightful way to view the city and it was peaceful to do after sightseeing in the city most of the day. The staff were very lovely and the bar was good with clean toilet facilities onboard. This was a lovely way to finish our first day in York with a glass of prosecco, light music with no commentary and a tranquil view of the Rive Ouse. We look forward to joining you again for another evening cruise. Thank you.

Surprised my dad for his... - Surprised my dad for his 50th birthday
Staff where all lovely and kind definitely worth the money would definitely do the trip again and recommend it to people and other family’s and friends with children

Peaceful and relaxing! - Having read some of the negative reviews below; I don’t know what the problem was for them! But we went for a nice peaceful cruise along the river as a couple to enjoy the more chilled music and take the time to actually have a conversation.
If a peaceful nighttime cruise isn’t your thing then maybe choose one of the party options (just a suggestion) but we went as a couple, and we had a free drink on arrival, you can choose from prosecco, peroni or a soft drink and there is an option for strawberries and cream but we didn’t opt for this)
It clearly states no commentary and the times you are going so if listening to some peaceful music and actually enjoying each others company doesn’t sound appealing to you then book something else that lets you see more or listen to more commentary but we definitely had a lovely time and found it rather romantic!

Peaceful cruise - The cruise was a lovely atmosphere especially for couples it was nice just being out in the open air we opted for the non strawberries and cream but was offered some anyway since they had extras which was a lovely touch to a nice cruise with my partner on our anniversary all the staff were lovely and everyone on our cruise had a smile so it wasn't just us enjoying the peace and the music was fun was a great selection!

Pleasant way to spend a summer evening - It was a pleasant trip to do on a summer evening but on reflection a day cruise with commentary would have been more informative about this fascinating city. The strawberries were tasty and prosecco a good match.

Loud boring music - a horrible experience - I love music, we'd earlier spent time in Valhalla bar listening to metal. But by the evening, after a hot tiring day, a peaceful cool cruise on a tranquil river sounded perfect. Instead, for an hour, we were trapped, subjected to loud boring pop, while we cruised the river. We couldn't do anything about it, neither could our fellow passengers. It was a horrible experience. What could have been a peaceful contemplative time was ruined. I cannot imagine the reasoning behind this crass insensitivity. What's wrong with silence or occasional commentary? It was like going on a silent retreat accompanied by a brass band.

Don't waist your money - £52 pound and 1 hour I'm never getting back
No commentary nothing to see but green trees and river banks don't waist you money
Strawberrys nice but would have been free with a Tesco meal deal

Not worth the time or money - Honestly thought that this would be a cute end to mine and my partners date night, getting to see the gorgeous views of the city but I was sadly disappointed. There really wasn't much to see what so ever. Was expecting to at least see some christmas lights on either side of the river bed, but not even the houses we went by really had any. What made the experience worse was the drunk older gentleman bothering anyone and everyone he could. Really was not worth the money and was definitely a disappointing ending to the night. Staff was polite though at least.

Dire - Dire, boring and unimaginative. Total waste of money. Nothing to see, low level music. Maybe in summer might be OK, but winter, non starter.
