• Khor Virap - Khor Virap is the most renowned pilgrimage site in Armenia, closely linked to the adoption of Christianity. Christianity became the state religion in Armenia in 301, thanks to the efforts of Saint Gregory The Illuminator. Before converting King Trdat III to Christianity, he was imprisoned in a dungeon, over which the Khor Virap monastery church was constructed in the 17th century. From the monastery, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.

• Abelyan’s House - Lavash is one of Armenia’s most iconic gastronomic symbols, playing a vital role in Armenian cuisine. It is a traditional soft, thin flatbread, baked in a tonir (a special ground oven). Although the baking process of lavash requires special skills, it is traditionally done by women. In 2014, “The preparation, meaning, and appearance of traditional bread lavash as an expression of Armenian culture” was added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. During this master class, participants will observe and learn the ancient techniques of making lavash, and, of course, taste their self-baked lavash with fresh greens and delicious local cheese. The aroma of lavash is unforgettable and will leave a lasting impression.
• The Monastery of Geghard - Geghard monastery is an unparalleled masterpiece of 13th-century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches in the complex are expertly carved into a massive rock. Initially, the complex was called Ayrivank (cave monastery), later renamed Geghard (lance) because the lance used by the Roman soldier to pierce Jesus Christ’s side was kept here for many centuries. Due to its construction, Geghardavank is an ideal place for singing spiritual songs. The complex is rich in intricate sculptural decorations and many remarkable khachkars (cross-stones). The site is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
• Garni Temple - Garni temple, perched on a triangular cape, is the only surviving example of pagan culture in Armenia. It is a fusion of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. King Trdat I commissioned the temple in the first century AD and dedicated it to the God of Sun. After the adoption of Christianity in 301, the pagan temple lost its significance, and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings. Today, the ruins of the royal palace and the bathhouse with stunning mosaic work can be found near the temple.
