- Khor Virap - Khor Virap is the most renowned pilgrimage destination in Armenia, closely linked to the adoption of Christianity. Christianity became the state religion in Armenia in 301, thanks to the efforts of Saint Gregory The Illuminator. Before converting King Trdat III to Christianity, he was imprisoned in a dungeon, over which the Khor Virap monastery church was constructed in the 17th century. From the monastery, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.
- Noravank Monastery - Traveling along a narrow road flanked by rocky cliffs with numerous caves, one encounters a scene where architecture harmonizes with nature. The monastery, adorned with exquisite architectural designs and lavish decorations, stands as one of the finest examples of 13th-century Armenian architecture. Noravank comprises the St. Karapet, St. Gregory The Illuminator churches, and the two-story St. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, noted for its exceptional construction and sculptural artistry.
- Hin Areni Winery - Vayots Dzor, particularly the village of Areni, has been the heart of Armenian winemaking for thousands of years. The “Hin Areni” wine factory introduces this region to the world, showcasing the historic and native Armenian grape varieties. At the winery, traditional winemaking practices are seamlessly integrated with cutting-edge modern technology. The “Hin Areni” wine factory can process over 250 tonnes of grapes.
- T’rchuneri (Bird) Cave - Research has uncovered metal knives, fruit seeds, grain remnants, rope, dishes, clothing, dried grapes, and plums, dating back to 4200-3500 BC, within the cave. The world’s oldest leather shoe, over 5500 years old, was discovered here. Additionally, the area revealed the world’s oldest women’s skirt (3900 BC) and the first winery ever found.

Amazing new experience - Really enjoyed the trip with Sam and Marina. It was group of 6, so it was comfortable enough to travel and ask questions. Definitely will come back for more.

An Unforgettable Tour - I absolutely loved the excursion through Khor Virap, Noravank, and Areni 1. I learned so much about Armenian history thanks to our incredible guide, Marina, who was knowledgeable, passionate, and a pleasure to listen to. Our driver, Sam, was also amazing, very professional and made us feel completely safe while getting us everywhere smoothly. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and I highly recommend booking with Hyur Service!

Loved the views and learning about Armenian cultural heritage - Beautiful views, delicious food, and an informative guide. Don't be afraid to make friends, and you're almost guaranteed to have a great time! I also recommend the winery tour and tasting. You get to try a unique Armenian varietal, and the chance to see the vineyard town of Areni. Thank you to Hayk our kind driver.

Full day of fun - Very worthwhile tour, even if you are on a low budget. In one day, we got to see multiple monastries and mausoleums, and also do a wine tour and tasting at the infamous Areni factory, and have Armenian lunch part of which we would make ourselves in a masterclass of dolma making. We learned so much about Armenian culture that we would not have known if we would have decided to take this tour by ourselves. Me and my friends were very grateful to tourguide Hayk and chaffeur Hachik for the amazing daytrip out of Yerevan.

I recommend it! - Second tour with Hyur. The first was last year, alone, and this time we're visiting Yerevan as a family. My son is 8 years old and I liked the tour. Visit not only different locations, but also the "theme" different. It turns out to be very fascinating. Special thanks to our guide Marina and driver Naik. They take care to keep guests interested and comfortable. Next time I will definitely continue to get acquainted with Armenia together with Hyur. Thank you!

Top experience in the South of Armenia - This excursion was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The itinerary through Khor Virap, Noravank, and Areni-1 was perfectly planned and offered a wonderful mix of history, culture, breathtaking landscapes, and local traditions.
A special mention goes to our brilliant guide Maria, who was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. She explained everything with clarity and enthusiasm, making each stop even more meaningful and memorable. Her professionalism and warmth truly elevated the entire experience.
Equally excellent was our driver Haig, who was not only very skilled and safe but also extremely kind and attentive. The journey was smooth and comfortable throughout the day.
The wine tasting and lunch at the Hin Areni winery were simply superb. The wines were of excellent quality, the tasting was well organized, and the lunch was delicious, showcasing authentic local flavors in a beautiful setting.
Overall, this tour exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Armenia and wanting a rich, well-balanced, and unforgettable experience.

My first trip to Armenia with Hyke & Leo - It was my first trip to Armenia with Couple Travel, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our Arabic tour guide, Hyke, did an amazing job introducing us to the rich history and culture of Armenia. He was extremely informative, helpful, and always happy to recommend the best places to eat and shop. Hyke genuinely went out of his way to make us feel comfortable throughout the trip.
I also want to highlight our professional and safe bus driver, Leo. He was very capable, and the bus rides along the winding mountainous Armenian roads were smooth and stress-free thanks to his excellent driving skills.
I would definitely repeat this Armenia trip in the summer with the same team and highly recommend Hyke and Leo to anyone planning a visit
