Located in the Kotayk region, 60 km north of Yerevan, Tsaghkadzor is nestled on the eastern slope of Teghenis Mountain, surrounded by pristine forests and alpine meadows.
- Kecharis Monastery - Situated in the north-western part of Tsaghkadzor, Kecharis Monastery was constructed between the 11th and 13th centuries. The complex includes four churches and a partially ruined mausoleum of Grigorius Pahlavuni, the benefactor of the monastery’s construction.
- Monastery Sevanavank - A breathtaking view unfolds in the north-western part of Lake Sevan, where the peninsula rises above the lake’s clear waters. Sevanavank Monastery was established on the peninsula in 874 by Princess Mariam, daughter of King Ashot Bagratuni. The silhouette of the churches against the turquoise lake and blue sky leaves an indescribable impression on visitors.
- Lake Sevan - Known as the “pearl” of mountainous Armenia, Lake Sevan is one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes, situated about 1900 meters above sea level. Of volcanic origin, the lake is encircled by mountains reaching 3000 meters and higher. The stunning landscape and crystal-clear waters provide ideal conditions for a perfect retreat. The lake is also renowned for its peninsula and the medieval church complex built in 874.

worth to do again - Surprisingly good, above my expectations. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning but change it to now to Very good. Even shared some new whatsapp contacts

Lovely day spent outside Yerevan - Our trip was well organized and on time. Beautiful sites to see and things to do. We enjoyed all destinations but secan was something special. Mania, our tour guide, was specially great. Very knowledge and helpful and friendly. Would do any tour with her again!

Blue eyed lake Sevan and greeny Tsakhkadzor - Hey, my trip was great along with these two guys, Mr.Karen the tour guide and Mr.Mavriek is the driver
Mr.Kren explained all the tour trip very very well in English and he had a since of humor

Successful trip - Everything ok on the tour except for lunch.We chose fish,menu 2.It was the worst fish we ate worldwide.Many bones and absolutely tasteless.The worst grade we assign for the fish menu.

Moderately interesting excursion - Although the Marina guide was great, we were disappointed with the program. The cable car does not have much interest like Tsaghkadzor. On the other hand the part around Lake Sevan, where we had 2 hours of freedom to walk the place was really nice (don't miss the monastery whose view and Mood is worth the visit!) You also have time to take a boat ride on the lake (plan species).
The road was very well maintained and the trip comfortable.
