Insightful look at Yangon's history - The tour was great. It offered us a thorough and thoughtful look at Yangon's history. Our guide, Kenneth, was highly knowledgeable and had a very interesting personal history that he weaved into his tour. He shared history about old buildings that we easily would have overlooked had we just been walking ourselves. Some of his comments could be a little repetitive at times—we didn't mind at all, but I could see how some people might. Overall we learned a lot and that was exactly what we wanted to get out of it. I definitely recommend this tour, and I would definitely book another excursion with Sampan.

Enjoyable tour of downtown Yangon - Really enjoyable walk in the downtown area of Yangon around the former, once magnificent colonial buildings. Our guide was interesting and extremely knowledgeable.

Myanmar is the place to go to get away…! - I travelled to Myanmar on a trip organised by Sampan Travel. The travel organisation was flawless, the service was excellent, and the choice of guides was very good. I had three different guides - all knowledgeable, friendly and with a sense of humour! Great trip - from Yangon’s history and it’s incredible Shwedagon pagoda to relaxing in Kalaw and a most fascinating stay on and around Inle Lake… I will be back !

A wonderful tour of downtown! - I recently went on a downtown tour of Yangon with Sampan Travel, and it was an amazing experience. Our guide knew a lot about Yangon and shared interesting stories about the city and provided context as we weaved through the streets together. Even though I've lived in Yangon for a long time, I still learned new things. I recommend this tour to everyone, whether you're new to the city or have been here a while. Perfect way to know Downtown Yangon and the stories behind his architecture - Highly recommended if you want to learn about the country's history, architecture and food. The guide, Ko Aung, was super friendly all the time and made sure that the route, food, etc. was to my liking. The knowledge he has about the city is communicated in a very interesting way. A great introduction to the city - I had a great morning tour with Sai. He was a very knowledgeable guide and gave me a great introduction to the city. The breakfast was delicious! If you only have a short time in Yangon, make sure that you book this tour!

An all round tour to learn more about the residents and flavours of Yangon ! - A really informative and enjoyable tour of parts of Yangon that you might not get to see otherwise. It showcased the diversity of communities that have roots in Yangon, where we got to speak to community leaders.
