An excellent visit - What a great visit! I was so glad I’d managed to persuade my husband to do this visit, as it was excellent. It was most interesting and varied. Our guide was Santiago who was brilliant. I thoroughly recommend this visit if you are in that part of Lanzarote.

Insightful tour - Lovely tour. Anna was great at explaining how the salt is extracted, the history and future plans. It was good to hear they are restoring the original windmills and becoming more eco-friendly.

Visit simply amazing! - I loved! The place is beautiful. It was a wonderful visit and the guide was simply amazing. As we were walking through the salines, she was explaining the history of the place in detail and with quite detail. The view is beautiful. It is worth visiting. Thanks for the experience. 🙏

What an interesting way to spend a few hours. - We drove past the salt farm a few times and after a bit of research decided to pay a visit. The two hours we spent there were exceptionally well rewarded with a walking tour of the salt farm and a fact-filled talk on how salt is made by natural evaporation. Our guide Anna was very knowledgeable, but didn’t just blast facts at us - she wove a fascinating narrative about the history of the farm, the challenges it has faced and its plans for the future. I’d definitely put this on your itinerary of you are visiting the area.

Interesting and obligatory visit if you go to Lanzarote - An amazing and quite interesting visit in Lanzarote, I recommend if you go around the island, visit Las Salinas de Janubio. The only shame that gave me of the visit, that since they do not get staff who want to work in the salt, they have several salt pans disconnected, for the rest is something very interesting.

Worth a visit! (Shout out Ann!) - Had such a great day. We were especially lucky with our guide, Ann, who was just a total joy, and also went out of her way to make sure we got a taxi back in the evening. We also enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the flats which was lovely. I would recommend if you are looking for a tour that is short but full of interesting facts. Thanks to Ann for making it extra special 😊😊

Stunning Location and Fascinating History! - This was probably my favourite thing I did while in Lanzarote! My day spent at the Salinas de Janubio was very worth the bus trip from Playa Blanca! (10 mins on the number 60 bus) Our guide Yurena was so friendly and informative. I learned so much about this part of Canarian culture as well as some very interesting information about the general history of the island. The salt fields themselves are truly beautiful to see. There is also some lovely bird life around the lagoon. After the tour we were brought to the salt packaging area in the visitor center too so we really got to see the entire process from start to finish. There we enjoyed a salt tasting with some complementary local wine and goats cheese. They also gifted us some beautifully packaged salt to take home! In close proximity there is a black sand beach and an excellent restaurant which are nice to visit in addition. Would definitely recommend!! :)
