Bell and Drum Towers - The Beijing Drum and Bell Towers, located at No. 9 Zhonglouwan, Dongcheng District, were the timekeeping centers during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The Drum Tower, originally built in 1272 and rebuilt in 1420 and 1539, stands 46.7 meters tall with two stories and striking red paint. Gulou East Avenue - We will sample Beijing traditional street food (Dalian Baked Bun), and Mongolian BBQ in two restaurants.
The history of Dalian Baked Bun dates back to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. We often confuse pot stickers with Dalian Baked Bun. In fact, pot stickers have a shape similar to the dumplings we often eat, while the appearance of Dalian Baked Bun resembles the cloth bags that Northern people used to carry when going out to markets in the past. Particularly when made with softer dough, when picked up by chopsticks from the middle, the two ends droop down, hence the name.
- Great Leap Brewing Original #6 - The tour will end at a brewery hidden in a Hutong. You will try local craft beer here. Pace yourself and enjoy the nightlife in Beijing.
