Excellent food tour in Xi’an - Michael was a marvelous guide on this tour through Xi’an’s culinary world. As a long time resident of the city he provided insights on the city and the food I was eating. The food itself was delicious and included dishes like the pita bread lamb soup, soup dumplings, and the renowned Xi’an burger. I can highly recommend this tour to anybody who seeks to taste Xi’an’s signature food and an evening in great company.

An experience well worth it! - Very informative tour, with an excellent range of Xi'an cuisine sampled throughout, in various sections of the city. I didn't spend a lot of time in Xi'an, but this gastronomic tour was definitely well worth it!

Just Book it - One of the best food tours out there. Michael was informative, kind, and always helpful. His knowledge of the local cuisine was impressive, and he knew the best places to try each dish. He accommodated dietary restrictions and happily answered all my questions. Highly recommend this tour!

Excellent food tour - I've done food tours in almost every major city in China, and I can say that this one ranks among the best. Our guide was super knowledgeable, warm and accommodating. We visited several places eating an array of excellent dishes, and there was always plenty of food. If you're in Xi'an don't hesitate to book this tour!

Fantastic Xi'an flavours with Michael - Our group decided to go for the food tour with Michael, and we had a fantastic experience. He introduced us to Xi'an flavours and history in a relaxed way allowing us to enjoy every second. Michael adjusted the restaurants to meet our group preferences and needs as we combined meat lovers and vegetarians on the same tour. The tuk-tuk ride was a great way to see all the street vendors and get a gist of all the food options available. Highly recommend this tour.

My Future Chef Approved! :) - This food tour was by far one of the best tours I've experienced! Michael, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. He introduced my teen sons and I to many amazing Xi'An dishes and delights. With my oldest son aspiring to be a future chef, it was the perfect opportunity for him. He gave every dish the thumbs up! If you're looking for a fun, fabulous, and delicious tour (and guide), look no further. Michael and his staff will provide 5 star service and more. Bon Appetit! :)

Not recommended - I have done plenty of food tours during travels but this one I liked the least. When I do a food tour, I hope to especially eat the things that are not the most common dishes. We had as example a lamb burger, biang biang noodles and dumpling soup - which among are the most famous dishes of Xi’an and you can find everywhere. I googled local dishes and where to eat them myself the next day and discovered way more than in this tour. The guide also made a transphobic comment “I accept all genders but for me there are only 2 - it’s okay they exist but they ask for way too much.” I would have left it like that because apart from this he was a nice guy, but since he asked 4 times now to review, here it is. I would not recommend this tour.
