• Tomb of Emperor Jingdi (Hanyangling) - The Hanyangling Museum, also known as the Tomb of Emperor Jingdi, is the final resting place of the fourth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. Its construction spanned from 154 BC to 126 BC, encompassing an area of approximately 24 square kilometers. Surrounding the central tombs of the Emperor and Empress are over 8,000 subordinate tombs. Researchers have uncovered 81 burial pits near the emperor’s tomb, filled with a variety of funerary items. These include figures of cavalry honor guards, warriors, imperial concubines, court maids, and a collection of chariots, weapons, tools, food containers, and many other artifacts.\nThis subterranean realm, with its Terracotta effigies and everyday items, is akin to an emperor’s kingdom in the afterlife. Venturing through this subterranean gallery and traversing the glass-covered pits filled with ancient treasures offers a journey back in time, providing a deeper insight into the splendor of China’s imperial history.
