Highlights
  • Church of St. John The Baptist - This impressive church boasts the third largest unsupported dome in the world. Against a small donation to the church guests can gain access to the roof of the rotunda through a lift and enjoy stunning 360 degrees view of Gozo.
  • Sanap Cliffs - Not accessible by public transport or hop-on/hop-off tours, Sannap Cliffs is one of the highest points on Gozo. These breathtaking cliffs are a hidden gem, with views of Malta and Comino in the distance.
  • Xlendi Beach, Cliff and Caves - Xlendi is a very popular destination on Gozo, with beautiful blue water, cliffs and Xlendi Tower. We stop at the Belvedere overlooking the Xlendi tower and bay.
  • Ta’ Pinu National Shrine - Ta Pinu is a wonderful example of Gozo culture, this spectacular Basilica sits by itself in the countryside, with extensive murals and mosaics both inside and out.
  • The Citadel - You can’t go far in Gozo without seeing The Citadel, perched on top of the rocks right in the centre of Gozo. From on top of the walls, almost all of Gozo can be seen, whilst the citadel hides secrets underneath, including WW2 shelters and grain silos.
  • Xwejni Salt Pans - The 350-year-old salt pans found at Xwejni Bay stretch about three kilometres along this coast and are more than just the perfect spot to get a scenic snap for your Instagram! This site is one of the more popular ones on the island but, you can also take a look at others located at Marsalforn, Qala, Dwejra and Xlendi.
  • Marsalforn Bay - Marsalforn is home to the Salt Pans, which are, as the name suggests, pans cut out of the rock where Gozitans still make salt to this day. The pans stretch for many kilometres.Guests can enjoy a traditional light lunch at a nearby restaurant
  • Qala - Belvedere
  • Blue Lagoon - Weather permitting on the return boat voyage from Gozo to Malta Yippee Island Hopper boat sails around the picture-perfect Blue Lagoon and Comino’s captivating caves.
  • Wied il-Ghasri - Since the valley follows a winding path that leads to the open sea, you can enjoy a dip in the Mediterranean at the end of the valley where a small and secluded pebbly bay lies.

Although it seems inaccessible, a series of steps have been cut into one side of the cliff face, taking you to the tiny pebbly beach. On your way down the stairs, you’ll get a full view of the natural beauty that surrounds you so make sure you keep a camera handy.

Great fun, so much to see - We loved riding in the tuk tuks. It was a unique experience, and the small size of the vehicles allow us to get very close to the attractions. The boat ride back was a highlight with lots of cool waves

Highly recommended tour with Yippee - Excellent way of seeing all the main sights of Gozo in a day. All the transfers were well organised. Our tuk tuk was a 6 seater vehicle and our friendly guide gave us all the background information for each sight, and we had free time to look around at each stop. The boat trip back included a stop at the beautiful Blue Lagoon. Great day out.

Well worth it - Awesome tour once we got to the Island of Gozo and the Tuktuks. Ride to the ferry was just hectic as our minivan was packed and I was facing the back of vehicle in my seat, which made me nauseous. After we got in and off the ferry though, I forgot the lack of comfort and we had an amazing time with our guide Mike and his Pink Barbie tutktuk. He gave us great information everywhere we went and ample time and tips to explore.

Gozo full day island tour with lunch - We had an excellent day out with our guide Lisa. The TukTuk accommodated 6 passengers comfortably. Lisa was a skilled driver. Lisa was a brilliant guide. Lunch was very tasty and satisfying. This was a great day of adventure and a great way to see Gozo and its beautiful city and towns. And to reiterate Lisa was a pleasure to meet with.

Gozo is a must see - This was an excellent experience. Yippee is a very good company. They have their own boat. Our guide Steve is very knowledgeable. Speaks great English. He explained all aspects of Gozo in great detail. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. The return boat ride was awesome. They took good time showing Blue Lagoon so we all took great pictures. Tip on seats on the boat. Lower deck, some seats can get water splashing in from the bottom. The return, try sit on the upper deck - limited seats - so you can take better pictures of the Blue Lagoon.

Highlights of Gozo - Picked this tour since it hit all the places I wanted to see on the island. Atef was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend as it visits all the highlights of the island, get a local lunch, and transportation is fun.

Decent tour with some challenges - We enjoyed the Tuk Tuk tour of Gozo with Yippee tours but there were some challenges. It started out with pick up from the area we were staying and got transported to a small pier where a Yippe boat was waiting. Check in was a bit confusing and chaotic. The boat captain was checking people in, dealing with issues, and other things. It wasn't very clear what was going on, so we made our way to the boat to be told we had to check in with the guy at the top of the hill. There weren't enough seats for everyone on the boat, many people had to sit on the benches in back and some seats were broken. The sea was choppy and many people got wet during the crossing. If I had known it would be this way, I would have purchased my own ticket on the big ferry and linked up with the tour in Gozo. Once there we were escorted to our Tuk Tuk but there was some more confusion and we left later than the others. The tuk tuk was ok, but the platform where we sat was high and the awning draped over the frame was blocking out view. If we wanted to see the island as we were driving around, we had to hunch over and look under the awning. Not the best situation for a tour that was mostly driving. The stops we went to were beautiful and our driver gave us great information about the area. We didn't go to all the sites listed in the description and our tour was less then the advertised 6+ hours. The lunch was not very good, and I wish there was an option to skip all together. It was winter, so we did not swim but the tour of Comino island on the ferry was nice on the way back. There was confusion again with transportation going back and all in all it seems there is a lack of coordination "on the ground". We enjoyed the tour, but were disappointed with the vehicle, lack of stops, ferry, and lunch. Overall, a decent way to see the Island in one day if you don't want to have to think about planning an itinerary but be prepared to get wet on the ferry and not have a pleasant lunch or view from the vehicle.

Fun tour by boat and tuk tuk - Well organised tour collection from hotel and transfer to boat and tuk tuk mostly went smoothly. Small mix up with collection location and boats very busy but all sorted by team who seem experienced. Photo op at blue and crystal lagoons was an added bonus. Tuk Tuk tour with Joe P was a great way to get around the island. Joe was a great driver and a friendly and patient guide, with some interesting stories. He adapted the tour to meet the needs of less able passengers. We would have liked a bit more opportunity to walk out into the countryside or to visit the ruins but appreciate however that the nature of a small group tour will always have to be flexible depending on the group makeup, and Joe definitely tried his best to give everyone an opportunity to get the most out of the tour. We would have liked a bit more info at the start of each stop about how long we had and what there might be to see, that way we could have had a quick explore ourselves without being limited by the group mobility.

Mixed feelings - We did the Tuk Tuk tour of Gozo. Our driver I must say was very good, professional and informative but other elements of the Yippee experience left a lot to be desired, and in particular the lunch which possibly cost no more than €5 Euro a head and consisted of a rather bland lump of dry pasta in a very nondescript restaurant which was probably picked by budget than for any other reason. This meal might be typical fare but I imagine even Gozans eat better than this. By the end of the tour whilst everyone was keen to get home one felt the good mood of the morning was replaced with a “lets get the herd home” mentality which left us dropped not at our collection point but an area which we were not yet familiar with and left to find our own way back. Which led to a rather disappointing feeling to what had been a rather good day (apart from the lunch).
