Outstanding - Absolutely stunning. What a beautiful way to spend a few hours. Its so well laid out and immaculate. Plenty of places to eat or even picnic and whilst the car park seemed full it is so extensive you never felt like you were in crowds. Highly recommend.

Well maintained gardens - We had a wonderful visit to the well maintained gardens. It was out first visit and we were impressed at how well kept the extensive gardens were. The greenhouse was lovely and we listened to an interesting talk about Maple trees. After a picnic lunch we visited the garden centre where we bought a beautiful Azalea. We'll definitely be back.

Gorgeous time spent outside - Have not been for ages, partly due to bad news of traffic situation. Today I took the plunge and drove down the A3 from Richmond. Absolute breeze!! Honestly, at 10am on a Wednesday there was hardly any stopping. The only traffic problem is if you go back via M25.
The garden was exquisite. Spring truly in the air. The bulbs were all out. The cherry trees were raining confetti. It was glorious. Such wonderful sunshine too. It's a grand day out.

Fabulous gardens but sandwiches awful - The gardens were fantastic. Blossom was amazing and the spring bulbs.
The catering was not good. The sandwiches were very dry and uninteresting and theed was very little choice at 1.20.

A beautiful Spring day! - A wonderful garden to visit at any time of year.
Unfortunately the glass house was closed for cleaning but there was still plenty to see.
Lots of food/drink outlets on site.
Good parking & very good retail outlets both plants & "stuff"!!

Well kept gardens with lots of variety. - Beautiful, well kept gardens, lots to see. Particularly enjoyed the planting in the woodland area.
Recommend bringing your own food and drink. The prices are quite high and the queue was long. Waiting at self service screen to order and then long queue to collect food.

Lovely garden but disappointing staff - I wanted to share my experience from the **Walkies event on May 15th**, which was a truly beautiful day, despite the cloudy skies. Exploring the gardens with my dog was a wonderful opportunity, and moments like seeing **Nic Fiddian-Green’s *Still Water* sculpture** and watching my dog quietly observe his new duck friends made the visit special.
Shadow, ever the diplomat, sat peacefully, watching the ducks with his usual gentle curiosity. As a **therapy dog for dementia patients**, he has a calming presence that extends to all creatures, and it was lovely to see him taking in the serene atmosphere of Wisley. His quiet appreciation of the world around him is something I cherish, and Wisley provided the perfect backdrop for it.
Another highlight was the **Wisteria Walk**, where cascades of delicate purple blooms created a breathtaking tunnel of color. The soft fragrance and dreamy atmosphere made it the perfect spot for a quiet pause—Shadow certainly thought so, settling beneath the blossoms as if he were contemplating life’s great mysteries.
Unfortunately, while the gardens were stunning, my interactions with staff were noticeably unwelcoming. When I approached a staff member to ask a question, she completely ignored me, making no acknowledgment at all. Hoping for assistance, I tried again with another staff member, but instead of help, I was met with a sharp *“I’m not here to help you,”* delivered with an unkind look. These moments left me feeling dismissed and unwelcome, which was disappointing for an event specifically designed for dog walkers.
Wisley is a place I truly appreciate for its dedication to nature and its inclusion of dog-friendly walks, and I hope that future visits reflect a more open and friendly approach from staff.
Small moments of kindness can make a big difference in ensuring all visitors—human and canine—feel valued.

Great gardens but rubbish cafe experience - Firstly , Wisley is an amazing place. The plants on show are magical, the grounds are tended and the pathways are carefully maintained to give the visitor the most amazing experience. The Glasshouse is stunning and it feels like Summer every day. However..and this is a big negative. The Glasshouse cafe: Truly the pits. and that takes some doing. I have travelled the world and seen chaos in restaurants and cafe but I think even Ramsay would be stumped to sort this one out! Tables not clear or even clean. Queues 20 minutes for a tea and no one in charge. When the manager did eventually appear from the back, she was rude to people queuing having paid for their drinks. Also, they turned lights out whilst still taking orders for drinks and food. Shambolic mess. Please sort this out. It is really not that hard to run a retail business. Maybe even consider getting a couple of Costa drinks machines in, like you find in supermarkets nowadays. A lot of customers were complaining and this could impact future returning trade. The gardens are a1, though. Praise to them.

chaos - A visit to wisley was decide upon as it was a nice sunny day and take the grandchild.
All is fine but, despite numerous replies in tripadvisor to rectify and improve the service at the glasshouse, it is a disaster. a visit inside has a visible long queue, so around the corner to the hole in the wall. its not open says the server. but its 10.45 I say and you should be open at 10.00. sorry still setting up came the reply. back to the queue inside. lots of staff not looking busy and only one person on the coffee machine all the time we are here, and a possible manager on her walkie talkie and looking at the queue. so back inside she goes. a feeble selection of cakes is on display. pity really as it spoils a nice day out

Hilltop Cafe, RHS Wisley - Lunch in the Hilltop Cafe was very disappointing. No sandwiches available, so opted for a Bean Roll with Salad which sounds interesting. Sadly no, the Bean Roll was predominately a hard pastry with few beans and the salad consisted solely of very tired Iceland lettuce.
