absolutely recommend - this experience was exactly what we wanted, relaxing and peaceful. Captain Jim is delightful. please do wear more layers than you think you will need as it gets breezy!

Sail Shamrock - Captain was so friendly and nice! Such a great experience!!! My teenage boys loved it! A fun adventure, even in the chilly weather.

Bold, but cold. - Awesome time out on the water w/ Captain Jim. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the subject matter. Just be sure to bring a jacket, but he'll have extra and blankets if you forget 😀.

Sunset Sail with Captain Jim - Enjoyed our sunset sail with Captain Jim. Great weather, nice people on board, and we even saw some dolphins.

Highly recommended - Absolutely lovely way to spend an early evening. We sailed though the inter-coastal and then out into the ocean. Jim was a fantastic host. Interesting, attentive and gregarious- perfect for his retirement gig!!

Beautiful, relaxing sail! - We're local to the area, but decided to splurge on this sail for our anniversary. It was such a lovely way to experience the area from a viewpoint we're not used to seeing. Based on a prior review we aimed to be the first one's there so we'd get first pick of seats. We sat all the way up on the bow with a bottle of wine and it was perfect! We also had great conversation with some other guests on the cruise as well as the Captain. We had some storms in the area that made our trip particularly atmospheric! We would highly recommend!

Soothing Sunset Sail - On August 20,2023 at 5:30pm we boarded Jim’s world traveled, one of a kind sailboat and set sail. Doug and I were two of six excited and happy passengers along with our captain Jim and his wife Deb. The weather was perfect, skies clear,swells low with beautiful hue to the ocean and cool, pleasant wind speed of 10-15 knots. Conversation was lively and enjoyable. We shared much about our lives and found we had experiences in common. It was my first sail. It was exhilarating, peaceful,calming,delightful,refreshing…I wanted to remain on the ocean, sailing. The sunset was breathtaking, spectacular. “ I must go down to the seas again…all I ask is a tall ship….the wheels kick, the wind’s song, white sails shaking…” Highly recommend this sailing adventure with Jim.

Wonderful Evening - We have a wonderful sail out on Shamrock. Knowledgeable and super friendly Capitan, beautiful boat, and a great evening. I could not recommend it more!

A wonderful sailing experience with a wonderful crew. - Captain Jim and Debbie were extremely knowledgeable about North Carolina waterways, history and wildlife. They were extremely engaging and professional. We were lucky enough to have picked a perfect day for a sail.

Sunset Cruise with Family. - Jim's storytelling was great. It very well complemented the cruise/tour. I definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking to spend a couple of good hours relaxing and learning about the area.
