Highlights
- Hoover Dam - We are one of the few Outfitters approved to take you to the base of the base of the awe-inspiring Hoover Dam. There are restricted passes and guests do need to go through an approved outfitter like us to launch in kayaks from the base of the Hoover Dam. We see Sauna Cave, Goldstrike Waterfalls, Melt Your Shoes Hot Springs, Arizona…
- Hoover Dam - We are one of the few Outfitters approved to take you to the base of the base of the awe-inspiring Hoover Dam. There are restricted passes and guests do need to go through an approved outfitter like us to launch in kayaks from the base of the Hoover Dam. We see Sauna Cave, Goldstrike Waterfalls, Melt Your Shoes Hot Springs, Arizona Hot Springs, Boyscout Slot Canyon, and the Emerald Cave.
- Arizona Hot Springs - We hike up from the river and up a large ladder through a waterfall to get to the world famous Arizona Hot Springs.
- Emerald Cove - We will pass by the Emerald Cave on our way back to Willow Beach. Lighting will be good July-September but we can go inside year round.
- Willow Beach - We exit here at the dirt boat launch of Willow Beach. We can either pick you up there (If your a morning person) so you can hop in your car and go when we conclude our trip, or we can take you back to your car at the Hoover Dam Lodge (If your not a morning person)
- Colorado River - We will spend about half our time kayaking the Colorado River while also stopping at Goldstrike Hot Springs, Sauna Cave, Infinity Hot Springs, and Boy Scout Canyon.

Sauna Cave: we take a pause here to unravel hot springs deep within the gorge.
Gold Strike Hot Springs: merely a stone’s throw away, we make our way to these hot springs for a brief plunge and a chance for a picture.
Boy scout Canyon: we step out of our kayaks to wander in this vicinity to witness hot springs, tight crevice canyons, and indulge in some mountaineering.
Arizona Hot Springs Beach: we take an about quarter of an hour hike to this expansive beach area to savor a lunch break.
Emerald Cave: this beautiful cave, the result of natural fault lines, lights up in emerald hues. We sail through for a swift snapshot.
Emerald Cove: we halt on the beach here for a half-hour recess.

We usually meet guests at the Willow Beach Marina so they can drive home immediately without waiting for us to load the kayaks.
*Please be advised there is a $25 fee to enter Willow Beach if you do not have a National Parks pass.

A fantastic day on the river! - We had a fantastic day on the river with Cameron. His humor fit ours well and the sites he showed us were breathtaking. The caves were plenty, the hot springs were clear and wonderful, the crowds minimal, and the river’s water was truly the emerald green imagined. We had unusually strong winds hit us late in the day, so the paddling became a workout, which was a bonus in my eyes. I would suggest that if your party isn’t comfortable being exposed to the sun, wind, and water for hours of the day, then maybe a shorter tour would be preferable. There is a significant amount of paddling, 12 miles. If you embrace the day as a physical challenge then you will be pleased. Bring plenty of water, electrolytes, a shaded hat, sunscreen, chapstick, water shoes that you are comfortable hiking a short way in, pick-me-up snacks, and a hearty lunch. I’d skip the alcohol on this trip because this is more of a physical endeavor than a leisurely wade on a lazy river. Truly worth the time (7-9 hours on the water). The memories will be shared around the campfire for years and thanks to Cameron’s fantastic photos, we have proof for our kids that we had an ‘epic adventure.’

Best kayaking ever - Going to a tour with this company is a great. I had a tour kayaking down the colorado river from hoover dam with Johnny as guide and it was the best kayak trip ever. Johnny show is every thing you can see on the river, waterfalls, hidden hot springs coves and more. I really will use this service again

10/10 recommend this tour! You will not regret it! - All around amazing experience! Our guide was Cameron and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a day to remember! The day was perfect, Cameron got some awesome footage of my boyfriend and I… seeing the Hoover dam from the boat launch area was such a cool experience, not something many people get to see anymore since you can’t see the Hoover dam from any roads any more. 10/10 we highly recommend adventure child for a kayak trip down the Colorado River! Away for Vegas crowds - This trip was awesome. I do have to say please, please don’t bring children for. 12 mile kayak adventure. It’s too much for all young ones. While I don’t have children in my group, I witnessed what happened too others. Our tour guide was amazing and helpful! Ask for Johnny with Adventure child!

Best kayak trip ever! - This is an amazing trip! Johnny our guide was so helpful, knowledgeable and fun. He was motivational willing to lend a much need hand on the hikes. The views are amazing. Highly recommend this trip!!

Amazing experience - Johnny was our guide and we had an absolute amazing time. I was nervous about taking this trip in Feb. Thinking we would be too cold and that it would be too hard. But it was an absolute amazing experience.
I took my very active mom for her 60th birthday. Johnny helped her scale waterfalls to reach the hot springs. He was so accommodating.
Arizona hot spring has to have been my favorite. My only suggestion is to look up the different type of birds in the area before you go because you see so much wildlife. It was so peaceful on the river.
I never thought an experience like this would be so close to Vegas. This experience was worth every penny and 100% was a highlight of our adventure trip

A must do when visiting Las Vegas!! - My husband and I agree, this was the highlight of our trip to Las Vegas. EJ was our guide and he went above and beyond! He is willing to customize your tour based on your likes and abilities, but we just left the tour trip in his very capable hands. I was happy to hand my phone over to him as he was our photographer as well! The next time we’re in Vegas, I have no doubt we’ll return for more fun with Adventure Child!

Beat the Vegas Heat with a Kayak Adventure on the Colorado River! - My friends and I recently embarked on an incredible all-day kayaking adventure down the Colorado River, just outside of Las Vegas. It was the perfect way to escape the desert heat and experience the stunning natural beauty of the area. The highlight of the trip was definitely stopping at several hot springs along the way. Taking a dip in the river was a refreshing break, and the scenery surrounding them was breathtaking. Our guide, Shawn, was fantastic. He kept the mood light and entertaining throughout the day and even documented the entire adventure with tons of fun pictures of our group. Thanks to Shawn, we have lasting memories of this amazing experience. If you're looking for a way to add some adventure and nature to your Las Vegas vacation, I highly recommend this kayaking trip! It's a perfect way to escape the crowds and see a different side of Nevada.
