- Willow Beach Marina - From Willow Beach Marina paddle 4 miles (roundtrip) along the Colorado River while enjoying beautiful canyon views. Kayak to a beautiful overlook at the River Gauger’s Historical Homesite. Here you’ll break for photos and snacks. Keep your eye out for wildlife that call the area home such as big horn sheep, falcons, blue herons, bald eagles and even rainbow trout and striped bass swimming in the the crystal clear water around you. Next, kayak to Emerald Cave, a beautiful clear water hidden cove. Here you’ll also enjoy a fresh snacks before kayaking back to Willow Beach.

Experience an exhilarating 3-hour kayaking trip on the crystal-clear Colorado River, just south of the Hoover Dam from Willow Beach Marina, Arizona.
Please meet us at the Willow Beach Marina gift shop.
After a short safety briefing, your guide will lead you to the water for a picturesque paddle on the tranquil Colorado River. There will be several pit stops along the route for leg stretching, even a brief hike for a spectacular view of the River. The tour package includes opportunities to spot wildlife, a 4-mile round trip of moderate paddling, a lightweight touring kayak complete with a carbon paddle, a life vest, snacks, fruit, and a generous supply of bottled spring water.
- Please dress appropriately, layers and comfortable shoes are recommended.
- Children (12 and under) must be accompanied by an adult in a shared tandem kayak
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
- This activity is not wheelchair accessible
- We have the right to cancel a booking if there are not enough travelers
- If you need to visit the store for food, extra provisions or need to use the bathrooms please give yourself adequate time beforehand. (Tour will last: 3-3.5 hours)

FANTASTIC TOUR!! - BOOK THIS TOUR!!! Our tour guide Preston was so sweet and told us little nuggets of knowledge all day. The river is gorgeous and we had an absolute blast!

The best thing we did on our trip - This was a superb tour. Everything was superbly organised with clear communication. Our guide was excellent and equipment was all in good order.
The setting is spectacular. Ironically the cave itself is ok but not as amazing as the whole river setting that is steeped in history.
Can’t recommend highly enough. We did get caught out by the fact that AZ doesn’t follow same daylight saving as NV so if you’re coming from Vegas check the time zones - we were an hour early but no big deal!

Emerald Cave Tour w/Preston (Tour Guide) - Yesterday, 04-17-2024, a group of seven of us went on the kayaking tour for my wife’s birthday, and had Preston as our tour guide. He was great! He made the experience one to remember and was so knowledgeable about the river and its surrounding nature. It was the first time for all of us and he made certain that we were all completely comfortable before beginning the journey. Every last one of us enjoyed it to the fullest! We will definitely be going again in the near future, and booking our trip through River Dogz! Thanks again, Preston, for making it such an amazing experience!

Ryan was a great guide. ... - Ryan was a great guide. He had a great attitude, always checking in to see if we were doing ok. He did a great job with the narration about the history and plant life. We saw bighorn sheep which was a bonus. It was a lot of fun. We will definitely do it again!

Beautiful day! - Preston was amazing and the day was awesome. The kayaking trip was beautiful, the cove was pretty, the views spectacular and the experience was perfect! I would highly recommend it!

An enjoyable 3 hour trip - perfect speed for novice kayakers - We had a beautiful day out on the Colorado River! The views were spectacular and we went at the end of February so the weather was just about perfect - mid to upper 60s. Emerald Cove was cool and our guide Ryan was great - very patient and helpful to those that weren't experienced kayakers. We had a good group (total of 10 people + Ryan). All-in-all, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable 3 hours.

not disappointed - We lucked out with the weather. It was exactly what you would order if you were going to kayak. But the review is about River Dogz, and they are exactly what you should order if you want a guided kayak tour. Very friendly and concerned about the safety of all of the guests.
If you are even a moderately experienced kayaker, you might consider kayaking without a guide. But even so, the guide was knowledgeable about the area and able to point out sites and great picture opportunities, kayaks and paddles were in good shape, water and snacks were provided and plenty.
