- Willow Beach Marina - For those looking for spectacular scenery, this is the perfect kayak tour. The Emerald Cave Express Kayak tour paddles onto the Colorado River at various times, starting at Willow Beach, Arizona. This is a great tour for beginners or advanced paddlers alike.
The moment the paddle dips into the emerald green Colorado River, one is transported back in time. Paddle past historic sites of the 1920’s era government project that gave life to the desert southwest. Venture into the Black Canyon narrows to explore the historical site and take amazing photos after you have backed your kayak up into the Emerald Cave. This tour is a total of four miles on the Colorado River.

Discover the renowned Emerald Cave and the storied Colorado River with the most seasoned and reputed tour agency operating on the river. This relaxing journey will commence at Willow Beach Marina, heading 2 miles north to the Emerald Cave, pausing at picturesque viewpoints and historical locations. This is obligatory for groups seeking adventure or individuals aiming for an outdoor experience.
You will be equipped with elite-grade gear, accompanied by globally recognized guides, and served by a skilled office team.
- We offer single or tandem (2 seater) kayaks. Please specify which kayak you would prefer.
- The Emerald Cave is just a small cutout of the mountain for a great photo op!
- We provide life vests. Please specify which size you would prefer. S/M, L/XL, 2XL/3XL
- You will be meeting us at the marina. Have reliable transportation to meet us, there is NO cell service at the marina to call a ride share.
- If you have chosen and paid for this tour with shuttle, pick up times are: Bellagio 8:20am and Mandalay Bay 8:30am for the 10am start time. Pick up times are: Bellagio 10:20am and Mandalay Bay 10:30am for the 12pm start time. Pick up times are: Bellagio 11:20am and Mandalay Bay 11:30am for the 1pm start time. Please specify which pickup location you prefer.

Please meet us at the Paddle craft launch beach 30 minutes before your tour start time to meet your guide and get fitted with life vests and boats. Tours will begin promptly at their scheduled start time.

A BEAUTIFUL PADDLE WITH ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VIEWS AND GREAT STAFF - AFTER A LOVELY DRIVE TO THE MARINA, THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS TRIP UP THE COLORADO RIVER. THE GUIDE LEADING THE EXPEDITION WAS DYLAN WHO WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO TRAVEL WITH. HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE, PERSONABLE, HELPFUL AND MADE SURE WE WERE ALL SAFE. HE ANSWERED ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS. HE GAVE US HISTORY OF THE AREA, INFORMATION ON PLANTS, WILDLIFE AND PADDLING TIPS. DYLAN WAS ALSO TRAINING MALEK AND INFORMING HIM OF HISTORY ETC. HE AND MALEK HELPED THE LESS EXPERIENCED PADDLERS. WHETHER YOU ARE NEW TO KAYAKING OR HAVE DONE IT FOR YEARS THIS IS A GREAT TRIP. WE WENT UP TO AN AMAZING LOOKOUT AND HAD TIME FOR A QUICK DIP. SNACKS WERE PROVIDED AND DYLAN MADE SURE WE ALL STAYED HYDRATED. MALEK WAS NEWER BUT ALSO GOOD ABOUT HELPING AND ANSWERING QUESTIONS.

Day adventure - This was fun! Dylan was very patient with us new kayaker’s. Good history lesson with the tour. We had a good time adventuring outside of the Las Vegas strip.

An Unforgetable Experience ! - Nothing can prepare you for the magic of this tour, the scenery is amazing, the photos just don’t do it justice, paddling down the Colorado River through black canyon should be on your bucket list !. Our guide Dylan was fantastic, so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and made our experience far more enjoyable with his banter and personalized approach. You don’t need to be a kayaking expert, you are taught all the basics and by the time you are coming back from emerald cave you will be flying ! .. I would highly recommend Evolution Expeditions as your tour guide of choice the whole process was seamless and highly organised.

We had a great time - Amazing experience and views!
Salvatore, our guide, is the best! He was very patient and knowlegeable and also speaks very clearly.
Just a note : Beware if you book through Victor. They told us the hotel pickup was at Noon, when in fact it was at 10:20! Evolution Expedition sent me emails with the right time, but I didn't notice the time difference. Thankfully, Evolution called me to let me know.

Celebrated my birthday on the river! - Our guide Dylan was amazing. We also had three guides in training (Malik, Cassidy, and Aries) who were also awesome. Weather was beautiful. There were 3 of us celebrating a birthday so the group sang Happy Birthday. We did the express tour. Left the hotel at 10:20 and got back at 4:45. Awesome tour.

A must see - We were first time Kayakers., in our 60's. Our tour guide Jay was fantastic. Everyone in our group was a first timer and Jay had a lot of patience and made sure we were all safe. He has a lot of knowledge of the area and gave us historical as well as scientific information. The cave was a wonder to see. The nature is fabulous. Step out of the crowds, and enjoy a day in the fresh air and sunshine.

Thoroughly Satisfying & Challenging Trip - Chris & Dylan did a great job encouraging all of us on a very windy and challenging day. My 24 year-old daughter and I joined a group of young adult bachelor/bachelorette partiers and managed to hold our own. Dylan shared lots of flora/fauna information. Snacks and water were plentiful. We did take a brief pause so that Chris & Dylan could render aid to another group's kayaker who had overturned which added to the excitement. All in all, it was a fun trip that I'd do again. Thank you Dylan & Chris!
