Highlights
- Whispering Wall - The Whispering Wall is in fact the retaining wall of the Barossa Reservoir. Built between 1899 and 1903, the dam was a revolutionary engineering feat for its day and attracted attention from all over the world, even making its way into the pages of the journal Scientific American.
But what draws visitors to the Whispering Wall is its unique acoustic effects: words whispered at one side can be clearly heard at the other, more than 100 metres away. Children in particular love visiting the wall and testing its abilities.
Besides trying out the Whispering Wall, visitors can also learn about the history of the construction of the dam, take in the scenery of the water reserve and enjoy the colours and sounds of the peaceful bush setting.

Top Shelf Experience - As I was the only attendee, Roger updated the day to my desired wineries. He has incredible knowledge of the area and is great company! I had one of the best days of my life out there. Highly recommend taking a tour with Roger

Fantastic day out - We had a fantastic day with Di. It was a slow day for them, we were the only two people booked in. Which was great for us - the tour still went and Di customaed the tour to us. We enjoyed it so much and got to see so many things that we normally wouldn’t have time for with a larger group. So pleased with these guys and Di was fantastic.

Magical day touring Barossa Valley - Fantabulous day in a private tour organized by Ambler Touring. We had Di as our driver for the day and she was fantastic! Customised our day based on our interests. The whole experience from pickup at the hotel and drop back at hotel was super smooth and enjoyable. We really look forward to visiting adelaide and using Ambler touring again! Thanks Di

memorable tour Barossa and surrounds - if ever you want the complete Adelaide experience, I would highly recommend Roger and Ambler touring. I had the best experience of Adelaide and Roger was highly knowledgeable, hospitable and truly made my tour memorable.

Awesome day!! - Please disregard the Martin G review as he sadly thought he was just reviewing Maggie Beers Farm visit NOT Roger’s wonderful day tour!! He can’t seem to delete it!!
Our tour was awesome with Roger!! He was a safe driver and his wealth of knowledge and flexibility in arranging the day to suit our interests was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for him!!
All the places we visited were excellent. We were just a bit disappointed with Maggie Beers Farm but that was nothing to do with Roger!! We were still glad that we visited however!!
We would highly recommend a tour with Roger. Thank you for a wonderful day Roger.

Amber Touring experience with exceptional service - Had a fantastic day with Roger and as the day went on he tailored it to suit our requirements.
The wealth of knowledge was amazing and was helpful for the rest of our time in the Barossa.
