Embark on a private journey through the Jamestown Settlement, Historic Jamestowne, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, the national museum (National Park Service featuring General Washington’s original tent from the Battle of Yorktown in October 1781), Surrender Field, the monument, and Cornwallis’s retreat cave at Yorktown Beach.
This specialized exploration provides a detailed understanding of our earliest English colony’s inception (Jamestown) and concludes with the Yorktown Siege on October 19, 1781, including Surrender Field. If you are touring Williamsburg with a group of four, we can traverse the Colonial Parkway (finished in the 1940s) for visiting numerous sites. The afternoon expedition at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown includes the 3:00pm canon firing (subject to weather conditions). We allocate around 2.5 hours for Jamestown, followed by lunch (self-funded), and approximately two hours for Yorktown.
