Enjoyable trip back in time. - We spent a fabulous day visiting Colonial America and the Revolutionary War's key battle at Yorktown. I was happy with the balance of guided activity and time to explore independently. My husband enjoyed boarding the ships at Jamestown and my pre-med daughter loved listening to the "surgeon" speak about medical treatments available from that time in history. I learned the county I grew up in in southern Wisconsin (Green County), was named after Nathanael Greene, a major-general that fought with Washington in the Revolutionary War - I always enjoy learning something new. Matt was a fantastic guide. The weather was a bit chilly, but aside from that, we had a great day. We definitely recommend this tour to others!

Full Day Lots of Information - Matt was our tour guide for the day. I couldn't believe how much history he knew, shared with us & his passion. We had a large group and he managed us really well. Our lunch at the Cafe in the museum was pretty good. Matt stayed on the schedule all day. I really don't recommend this tour for the kids unless they like history. The smaller kids were bouncing off the walls.

Jamestown and Yorktown are Must See - This tour covered must see museums and historical sites. The bonus was that our tour guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable and had much to share about the area. He involved us as we explored and shared things that we would not have heard if we toured these places on our own. We were asked to change the date of our tour and it ended up raining some that day but Matt took good care of us. The only negative for me was the pace in the museum, I would have liked a few mor minutes.

Well done tour for all ages. - We met our tour guide Matt at 8am. The bus was very comfortable. He was an excellent tour guide telling great stories and involving the kids during the day with his stories. He gave lots of local insight into his tour. The lunch was at the Jamestown Muesum. Plenty of free time at each location. We arrived back around 5:45pm. We had kids 9, 12 and grandma with us who all enjoyed the tour.

Best way to get it all in covering all the facts in a one day trip! - Long but well worth it day to get in these two very educational sites and turning points in the American journey. Matt is a wealth of knowledge and goes above and beyond to make history come to life. He engaged the youngest to the oldest on the trip making it enriching for everyone. Highly recommend!!!

Jamestown, Yorktown - I wanted to express my gratitude for the excellent Jamestown Yorktown tour we experienced recently. Matt, our guide, was not only kind and engaging but also incredibly knowledgeable, making the tour truly memorable. His passion for the history of the area shone through, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. I would wholeheartedly rate his performance 5 stars. While the overall experience was exceptional, I must mention the slight disappointment regarding the change in lunch arrangements. I was looking forward to enjoying an authentic lunch as part of the tour, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to dine at the cafeteria instead. This deviation was the only reason I deducted one point from the rating. Despite this minor setback, the tour itself was fantastic. Thank you once again for a memorable day filled with history and insights into Jamestown and Yorktown.

Good info but not enough time. - Matt was very knowledgeable and made learning about this area’s history fun. However there was just so much we didn’t have time to see. It was a little frustrating just racing right by everything in the museums. We thought the free time allotted would give us time to explore these more. Our itinerary doesn’t allow us time to go back to these places.

Just okay - Overall I had a nice day. The tour spots were great and it was organized in a nice way. The tour guide was okay. He is not my ideal tour guide. He asked a lot of questions instead of just telling us the history. He also seemed like he was bored/tired of the tour. Might just be his personality. Also we ate at the Jamestown food court and not a colonial house. So I was relatively upset about that.
