Join our gentle camels and your knowledgable guide for our one-hour camel ride choosing from departure in the afternoon or sunset. See kangaroos, birds and other wildlife as you experience the true beauty of the outback. Relax and feel the peace in a sublime landscape. We provide a free transfer service from your accommodation or you can self drive to us. After the sunset ride we gather at our camel lounge for light refreshments.

Embark on a unique family-friendly camel ride in Alice Springs, suited for all ages. We take pride in being the only providers of this camel ride in Alice Springs. The mild journey commences from the camel ranch at Pyndan Camel Tracks, a short 20-minute drive from Alice Springs. Once astride your camel, our skilled guide will escort you to White Gums Station, tracing an avenue of Iron Bark and Mulga trees. Ascend a subtle slope to appreciate the expansive vistas over the MacDonnell Ranges – a perfect spot for a camel-back photo. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, wallabies and birds en route. Complimentary pick-ups from outside your hotel’s reception are available 30 minutes before the tour.
- Infants under 3 years age sit on an adult’s lap and the infant rides for free
- Passengers weighing 220 pounds (100 kg) or over MUST advise their weight at time of booking
- Not recommended for people who have had recent hip replacements
- A level of fitness is required where you can lift up your leg, perform a squat and have the strength to get onto the camel’s saddle.

Drive 10 kilometres and turn right into Jane Rd White Gums. Look for the Pyndan Camel Tracks sign on the corner of Ilparpa and Jane Rds. We’re the second driveway on the left. Look for the metal camel and signs. It should take you about 20 minutes

Nanna and 3yo family fun - Nanna and 3 year old grandson enjoyed a fun and memorable afternoon on the 2:30pm camel ride. Little fella could sit up close with nanna in the saddle so was very secure. There was no need for bumpy up/downs as they alighted on the camels from a raised platform. The cameleers were friendly and it was a great atmosphere. Definitely will be back again!

Nanny and 3yo family fun - Nanny and 3 year old had a special afternoon together on the 2:30 pm camel tour. It was very relaxed with a platform to alight the camels from, so no need for the bumpy up/down. 3yo had a ball and talked the whole way. Wonderful cameleers and great atmosphere. Thank you Marcus and crew. Will definitely come back again!

CAMEL RIDE FUN - I was a novice camel rider and found the experience to be a lot of fun
We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the camel farm …..
We were guided in a camel train out to a field … watching the beautiful sunset …..
We were on Cookie a beautiful placid animal ..
After the ride we had a few nibbles and a drink and were given an opportunity to be up close and personal with the camels ….waas a great outback experience

Fabulous job Mickie! - Mickie was a fabulous tour guide. She was friendly, entertaining & even found me some red kangaroos to see during the afternoon tour. Camels have a unique history to the outback, so while it seems odd to have a camel ride. It’s actually quite fitting. Fairly priced. 10/10 would be back again! :) Thanks!

Amazing experience in a beautiful setting. - Our wonderful guide Micky made this an experience we will never forget. We were introduced to all the Camels, their names and characteristics which was fun. Micky gave us great insights into the camels and our surroundings during the ride. We saw Kangaroos as the sun went down which was lovely. We would recommend this trip to everyone, we loved it.

Sunset camel walk - It was a lovely sunset camel walk. You was even greeted with a drink and snacks after the ride. Only downside was the kids screaming asking 'how long left' every 5mins as I was hoping for more of a peaceful walk
